Comment:

There is a very big difference between helping you understand and retain the knowledge and shoving it all down you throat. I love being challenged, but unless this is your ONLY hard class, it is nearly impossible to fulfill the 2-3 hours she requests. I am usually a good listener, but I swear this women does not breath, that's how much she talks.

Dr. Barone will get you ready for a career in the sciences, especially medicine. Yes, her classes are very difficult. MEMORIZE her lectures - literally word for word and you'll be fine. Her multiple choice are tricky - she likes to use double negatives and extreme words to throw you off. MEMORIZE the diagrams she talks a lot about in class.

She reads right off her power points. Can't answer a question in class without being sidetracked and confused. Test right off her powerpoints . Pre-med majors get all her attention everyone else has to fend for themselves.

As a former student who is in graduate school, soon to be practicing Medicine, I can promise you Dr. Barone is an excellent prof, and her classes will prepare you for post-TMC education. Love Her! take every Barone class you can!

I actually understood microbiology. I even enjoyed learning it with Dr. Barone as my teacher. I couldn't help but get into it when her love of the subject and understanding shined through on a daily basis. This teacher wants you to succeed and will help but she has high expectations but with her on your side you can do it. Wish I had her again.
