In this class there is a journal that we have to keep up with, you can write about whatever you want as she does not read them. They are graded so keep up with it, this was the hardest thing for other students in my class to keep up with. There are lots of guest speakers so be prepared to interact with them as she notices these things.

Very nice lady, however this class wasn't best for me. I really wanted to learn exactly how to write a paper and punctuation errors. This class is more of a Texas Music class that you write papers on, which is great if you want an easy A, and are good at writing. I am more of a structured learner so this class wasn't for me.

Dr. Hudson cares undoubtedly for her student's success. She is very passionate and she does an amazing job of inspiring passion in others who are open to it. With that said, it's important for us to remember a literature course's core goal is to expand our worldviews by exploring new perceptions. This requires some uncomfortable contemplation.

You will have to compile a 20+ page packet, Learning Logs about what you learn over the semester "about yourself", create the assignments yourself because there are no instruction, you will need to go for extra credit to her music foundation events, and a lot of other pointless work and lectures. Oh and you will write about 50 memos. No tests!

You will write and you will learn to activate the creative part of writing. This professor is not difficult, she just wants to see her students participate. Many of her writing assignments are centered around Texas music, which not everyone enjoys. In her defense, you don't always get to write about what you enjoy.

This Professor is ridiculous. If you came here to learn, good luck. As for how easy the class is, I don't think it was worth it. Having to go day after day to hear her incessantly chatter about Texas music and other nonsense will drive you insane. My advice is to avoid this Professor whenever possible.

Pretty much worthless. I can't stand her. Very pretentious. She does like to take students out of their comfort zone, so if you're shy, watch out. I was basically bullied in front of the whole class the other day. So is no longer very approachable to me. She also doesn't understand that some students just can't think like her.

She is a great person. I don't personally prefer her teaching methods. She does know her stuff but doesn't share the information. If you want to learn the material don't take her class. If you want an easy A and something to laugh at...go for it, I guess. I won't take her again...I want to learn things in college.

Didn't enjoy the class. It's definitely different but can be frustrating. The professor expects too much.

She specializes in taking students out of their comfort zone to teach her students something new. She loves writing and, in her creative writing course, teaches a plethora of different writing methods students can use. She's unconventional, but talented and well connected to the writing community.

I'm going to go against the current and actually encourage my fellow colleagues to take Dr. Hudson. While she is far from flawless, her exercises will put you in situations where you're not completely comfortable and this will translate into your developing stronger bonds with your classmates. In fact, I made some of my best friends in her class.

Worthless. If you don't have an undying love for the native Americans then you will not learn anything from the classes. There was no structure to the classes, no set dates, no nothing. this was a class that I needed to succeed in future classes am am now behind because of her.

Dr. Hudson clearly knows what she's talking about, but does almost nothing to relay this knowledge to the students. Not to mention that she is so set in forcing her mystic ways on the students that she loses the attention and respect of the students.

This class was a complete waste of time. I didn't learn anything about technical communication. If I needed this course I would avoid taking it from Hudson.

Interesting woman. Tries way too hard to make students think "outside the box" especially for a TECHNICAL Communication course. I felt like I was back in 3rd grade...stuffed animals and stretching exercises in class?

Best English teacher a dyslexic ever got. She demanded good papers, but gave us unlimited revisions. All she asks is that you work hard and she is willing to work with you. But don't expect a good grade for a paper you slapped together at the last minute!

She is one of the craziest and coolest persons you could ever meet. Although some kids don't like her, she is an excellent professor and friend. She teaches for college students, not kids, thru different ways of learning.
