I had Dr. Ruthkoski from 2000-2004 for many classes. She was very cold, her blue eyes look right through you. She is not a very approachable person. It is still hard for me to picture her teaching little children as she says she has in the past. I met w her one day and she asked me why i wasn't meeting with my advisor... SHE was my advisor!

Insider view. The woman was raised to belittle other human beings. So, it's not her fault. She's only doing what she was taught. These people hate themselves and they take it out on others. Anyone who is made to feel less because of her, don't worry. She doesn't truly believe her own hype. They never do. Overcompensation is the driving force.

The problem that these students have with Dr. Ruthkosky is that she holds her students to high standards. She is tough...and she knows her stuff. But she has the worst personality in the world...she makes you feel so little in her class, and she acts like she is so above you. You feel like crap when you try so hard and get a b..thats a good grade..but she makes you feel like you are so stupid..

I had Dr. Ruthkosky for all of my early childhood classes. Yes, she is a tough teacher and yes her tests aren't easy, but it's because of this that I will never forget a thing I learned in her class. It's not about whether or not you'd be her best friend outside the classroom, it's what you too from the class. You will definitely learn a lot.

talk about tough grading...our group did a thematic unit on the ocean, she approved of the topic, we worked our butts off getting the materials and activities together, she gave us a "C" because she said londlocked Pa kids wouldn't have the background knowledge on the ocean. she's very cold as well. I can't piture her in a classroom with kids.
