Her classes were a lot of work and some of it seemed tedious, but she always had a reason for everything and I actually learned in her class. She was and still is one of my favorite professors after 4 and a half years of college.

Kathleen is such a sweetheart! The projects are a ton of work so if you don't like art projects, you're gonna hate this class. You learn a lot though. She has a passion for what she is teaching and it shows.

Kathleen is by far my favorite professor at Ferris. She is such a dork about art & design, but I also have the highest respect for her. Whatever you do, don't blow off any of the projects, because they all are really important for not only learning the course content but giving you practice for different techniques you'll use later. Great class.

Walked into her GRDE 110 class and thought I was going to hate her. She comes off very strict at first. However, i you put the time in and try your best she is GREAT! She is very funny and always has something hilarious to say. She is always available to help, just walk into her office and ask. GREAT TEACHER! But a hard grader if you don't try!

This women is a genius! She is a bit intimidating at first. Her class is difficult because she is very anal with your craft and she expects everyones best! She is open to answering questions if you don't understand and she is funny (in a weird, laughing at her way). I recommend her ONLY if you are dedicated and willing to work your @$$ off.

My most favorite prof. ever. If you do not enjoy sitting around and doing art projects all day and night, you will absolutely hate this class. She is so funny during her class tho. Everytime that I had a bad day, I would attend her class, and she would just make your day better. You will either love her class, or hate it.

She's extremely strict. She can get heavy-handed when it comes to assignments. Basically, when it comes to design, she's more concerned with what works than how hard you worked on a project. Just be clever and follow directions. It's not too bad.

At the beginning of the semester, I wasn't sure whether I'd like her as a professor or not. However, once I got used to her teaching style she quickly became my favorite. Every project focuses on x-acto knife work, however your craft does get better over time. Critiques are fair and grades are well-earned.

Kathleen is an amazing professor. She has a witty sense of humor and is the most random person I have ever met. She does like to go on ranting rampages about responsiblity and life, but hey shes a mom! Shes easy to relate with and and overall good person. Great teacher, but expects hard work. You take it serious and she will take you serious.

one day I absolutley hate her and the next she's awesome. I think she focuses too much on craftsmanship (not all of us are born to be great with an xacto knife) and she DEFINATELY has her little pets that drool over her every word. But I believe MOST of her critiques are fair and that she's willing to help those who ask. Not the best or worst prof.

I'm dropping the GRDE program partly because of this professor. Her design rants make me sick; she makes it seem like designers are the only people in the world that matter. Some people might not mind but it made me want to stand up and walk out. The projects are ridiculous, with way too much emphasis on Exacto knife usage.

Kathleen is a great teacher, definitely the best of all the graphic design teachers. She gives constructive criticism, but never completely tears anyone down like some of the other graphic design teachers. She's very into what she teaches and motivates you to be too, as long as you do your work you'll do fine.

I loved Kathleen. Though she isn't always the most organized professor she is always more than willing to help you with your design. Probably the best teacher in the visual design program.
