Brutal time taking this dry course with Taft. I was warned but I just didnt think it could be this bad! Disrespectful, rude, talks down to students, seriously how does she still have a job?! Power trips, thinks shes a God. Dont do it! Run the other way

Taft is pushy with her classroom policies, and showed a lot of spiteful and unprofessional behaviour. Im not afraid of profs so that didnt help, but it ended up with Taft kicking me out of class, sending me to the business chair, and sending me to the dean of business. 3 separate occasions. All over a no screens policy. Leave me alone Taft! nvr agn

I had her for BADM302. She goes really hard on her students because she wants them to do better and under the concept. She thinks SHES RIGHT in every situation... which is true.

Taft is a fickle mistress. She doesn't seem to be into teaching to actually teach the students. She will say one thing, then will mark it wrong when you do it. Not much direction, asks you to contact her via convoluted methods instead of just E-Mail. Will berate you in front of the class, and not apologize when she's wrong. Will avoid.

This is the second Class that I have taken with Kathryn and she is by far my favorite HR prof at Cap. She has very clear grading criteria, uses her real life experiences while teaching and gives really good feedback. I would highly recommend taking a course with her if you are looking into HR.

Kathryn is a great teacher and seems to have a small following in the business school. There is a lot going on in the assignments and if you ask questions she will thoroughly answer you. I failed the 'midterm' and got zero on the first paper, but ended with a B after working hard and receiving help. Would definitely retake if I was not graduating

Very vague about materials covered in assignments or exams. Grading is bias. Emphasizes and teaches HR, but seems to lack the emotional intelligence an HR professional should have.

Kathryn definitely comes with exceptional experience & wants to share it. She is a tough grader, & I strongly suggest never arguing with or interrupting her. Although it is tough to receive a good grade: here are my suggestions... get feedback on your assignments before you hand them in, study relatively hard for the mid-term! Attend class!

This woman is a fantastic instructor, second time in her class. She can be a little confusing at times but who isn't? I thoroughly enjoyed everything I learned as it is very relevant to the real world. She is a little strict in how things are to be delivered. Deal with it. She's an industry professional with 20+ years of experience for a reason.

spends hardly any time on the content she will be testing you on. The whole class thought they were going to ace the midterm and almost half failed. She wastes so much time on silly stories that are relevant but are not tested at all. DO NOT TAKE HER IF YOU HATE UNCLEAR PROFS. She never really specifies what is due when unless you grill her.

One of my favourite instructors. A tough marker but if you ask questions and put in work you will do well. She is super friendly and when I was sick she handled it really well and wasn't annoyed when I missed class. Group projects were simple and clear. She keeps the students that don't show up in their own group which makes groups effective & easy

Take this class if you want to learn something, because you need dedication, self-management, and high worth ethics. If you wish to play "politics" with the instructor, don't; if you think you have a second chance without putting into work, no way. I don't understand all these negative reviews! I really don't. She is a tough instructor (but fair) and I wish she would communicate her specific requirements for assignments better, but every teacher has one or two things to improve on. If you're a student that's on top of his/her game, don't be bothered by these reviews. You'll do good.

Great instructor, experienced and knows her material. The course is very textbook heavy- she is fair but makes it as easy as possible to get an A. Cap would be crap without her.

Kathryn is the kind of professor who knows very well about her material and she is able to provide you help when you need. I agree that she is not an easy marker, but that is how a university suppose to be. If you want to learn HR, or want a high grade in her class, just work for it. I hear students complain all the time, but it is useless in life

She hos very old-style exams you need to read, memorise and remember for the exams the QUESTIONS ARE TOUGH, AND she is a tough grader. Do Not Take course with her, any another instructor WILL be a better chose.

Kathryn is a bit stubborn because she will not listen to what you have to say. This may be very frustrating to some people because if she does not explain something clearly, she will blame the students. Pay attention in class! She is very nice though and often awards extra bonus marks. Tip: do not argue with her, you will never win.

She is an easier marker on assignment, but an hard marker on midtermsexams... Overall she is an good HR professor and know her craft very well. But as a student, just listen to her instruction really well and do it as her perspective, because she want students to do it her way not your way...

I was surprised to see so many poor reviews. Honestly, I did pretty well in the class & I liked her. She is very clear of her expectations. Just go to class and LISTEN to what she tells you to do. She knows her stuff and teaches it well. Towards the end of the semester she also shared her travel stories! Very eye-opening.
