Dr. Wolfe is an incredible professor and will put in as much effort with you as you are willing to put into the class. If you work hard, commit time and energy to the course, make a true effort, and participate, she will go above and beyond to work with you and help you with anything. She is tough, as she should be, but she's an exceptional prof.

Had to take a language for my major and I chose French and I am very happy that I did. Dr. Wolfe really knows what she is talking about, and she is very helpful if you need it. Her tests are tough, but it's a college level language course. If you put in the work outside of class, go to class, and study for the tests you will be fine.

Like others have said, this is a difficult course and you will wash out very quickly if you don't put serious time and effort into it. However, if you do your part, you will learn the language very quickly. She is one of the nicest and most helpful profs I have ever. Get to know her, talk with her outside of class, and she will take care of you.

This class is definitely challenging! I took a four years of French in high school and then took a year off and jumped into French 3. It's a lot of work, the tests are around 300 points but not impossible. Study as much as possible as frequently as possible. It is not "easy" to get an A, but that's not the goal. You will learn French!

French language key to understanding an inimitable culture - more conversation, less grammar and phonetics. Professor excellent - unselfish, rational, generous, reliable, acquiescent, magnanimous. Take this class. Do your homework!

Yeah, you have to work your ass off, but you're LEARNING ANOTHER LANGUAGE. Wake up, people. Wolfe is a great teacher, one that played a big factor in me staying at Behrend and possibly going to France to study abroad. Hard classes, but she's helpful; if you study and pay attention, you'll get an A. Great professor, great classes.

To everyone else who posted here: Wolfe is an amazing professor. Maybe if more professors actually knew how to teach at a collegiate level, and more students were interested in learning for his/her benefit, and not just to pass, we wouldn't have losers running our country. She's tough, but you'll actually learn something. Give her a chance.

This teacher is absurd. I don't know how she really expects students to study for 12 hrs a week. Her tests are nearly impossible. don't take this teacher. she makes learning french the biggest hassle ever and not fun. very unclear in directions, and never gives the benefit of the doubt.

I now hate French because of her. She expects way to much of her class. She does not have a book for her students to purchase. She also very rarely speaks english in class, so be ready to speak french. Her tests are also extremely hard.

Her teaching style doesn't work for me. She forces too much information on you and then expects you to know everything immediately. She's very willing to help though and will always answer questions.

Gave ridiculous amount of reading for every class. Also makes you buy like 5 books. This class is way too much work and money for a gen-ed.
