Comment:

There is definitely a lot of homework. Be prepared to have homework and quizzes due on multiple days a week. It's still very doable, and I do feel I learned a lot from this class. Perino is accessible, and it's easy to get an A if you sit down and put in work a few times a week. Go for it! I really like their structure (and I don't like math).

Comment:

Math is definitely my worst subject. Just give me a passing grade and I am good! Perino's lectures are very clear and engaging. She's very approachable and can be funny at times. Can't say that I love math but I didn't mind going to her class. Recommend Perino!

Comment:

I took her algebra classes over 2 years ago so my review may be a little vague. Overall, I liked her. Doing the online HW made me understand the concepts better. But, there was a lot of it. Also, there were quizzes in class almost every day. What you need to understand is these classes are non transferable. Just get a passing grade and move on.

She is nice, yet i would say find someone else. This professor gives you loads and loads and loads of HW. There is a quiz in every single class .Five exams plus midterm plus final. Run away before she leaves you with no social life. Her reviews have nothing to do with the exams, shes like all over the place.

LOTS OF HW, SERIOUSLY THIS PROFESOR THINKS I EAT ABD BREATHE MATH. She loves math and always says how much she loves it. We aren't all math lovers so please stop making this class complicated. She leaves HW on the daily basis even on weekends. Weekends she like triples the HW. During tests she still leaves all kinds of HW not related to test topics

She is very nice and tries to be funny. However LOTS of HW. Test are heavy. Confusing because she teaches one way and the online stuff is different makes it more confusing. I spent most of my time doing HW for class it has been a nightmare. HW barley goes towards grade. All grade is in midterm and Final too much for a pass no pass type of class.

I think Perino is a fantastic instructor. In fact I took her class for both math 105 & 220. She makes an otherwise difficult and not so fun subject interesting and much easier to understand. I believe she is the main reason I was able to pass this class, I highly recommend!

I think Kathy is a pretty good teacher. She tries to make the class fun & incorporate a lot of relatable examples to her teaching so her students could understand it better. I never skipped class but skipping a lot won't help you. She doesn't give that much homework but she does give in class work & quizzes sometimes! She has clear grading criteria

tries to be hilarious, lol she's a nice prof though for a person like me who is bad at math Goes pretty slow at everything and tries to solve everyone's doubt in a class of 30 students Take the hybrid class if possible, easier and simpler And dont forget to be attentive in class , you'll get an easy B+ for sure

She's nice in the sense, you get to double check your answers on a quiz at times with others before turning it in. She tries to cover every minute detail about a topic. NEVER MISS CLASS, she teaches a different topic every class.

Professor Perino is the best! She's kind, helpful and you'll probably want to take her class again. We rarely used the textbook because she made the lectures clear and we mostly turned in our homework online. She makes sure you understand the material and while sometimes let you ask for help from your fellow classmates before you submit a quiz.

I have never felt confident in a math class until I registered for this class. Kathy is super helpful and clear on her lessons, instructions and always makes sure you know the material. She also gives review sheets for tests which is a plus! Expect homework and quizzes (every class) but you can work with your class mates and they are pretty easy.

I love Kathy! She's such a great teacher that was really clear about the lesson she's going to teach. I usually struggle in math, but she helped me big time to understand it. There's homework 3x a week and online quizzes about the chapter overall, which I found incredibly helpful. I definitely recommend taking her! :)

I took this class on the Fall 2014, teacher made the class easy to understand, even for me, a busy mother of 3, business owner and full time student. I would take it again, I have not taken a math class in almost 14 years and she made it easy. Lot of homework but that is the only way you will learn, do it and go to class if you want to pass.

Midterm is 30% and final is 40% of your grade. The weekly homework and quizzes (due 3xweek) only count for 18% of my grade and I've spent over 80 hours on them. If you're within 50 mi of campus you HAVE to go to exams. I had to pay for a tutor since the class is basically learn on your own. The book is a Foothill college edition wmymathlab code

Kathy is a great teacher. I've always struggled in math and she helps as much as she possibly can and makes everything so much easier. I almost thought this class was too easy because of her. She's a sweetheart, I definitely recommend her!
