For anyones good, DO NOT TAKE HER AND I MEAN IT. I am a straight A student and had to withdrawal from this class because she was just ridiculously unfair and useless. She talked in circles and gave me C or D on everything even when i put a lot into it. DO NOT TAKE HER

Shes an expert on teaching her opinion. If you have any conservative views, you will be extremely offended.She preaches her beliefs more than actually teaching. Luckily writing comes easy to me, but if you struggle with English classes and interpretation, not the class for you. At all.

Had to take this class as a GE. It definitely isn't hard to do well if you put in your effort! Kathy is just very set on her opinions but she's well informed about them so she has a right. It's not a bad class and you'll learn a thing or two.

Kathy is extremely smart and believes 100% in what she teaches. The course is demanding and there's a lot of work involved. If you want a good grade stick with her viewpoints... even though getting a good grade is a lot of work . The actual lectures are pretty boring but she gives powerpoint slides

I truly do not understand how someone can do poorly in her class. It is true that you must follow her viewpoints when writing papers. However, as long as you read the books and use the ideas that you have read, this class is an easy A. I have never taken philosophy before and got an A in her class. Just AGREE WITH HER (even if you don't really)

She is the WORST i mean WORST professor ever. Dont listen to any other comment about this woman being a nice or good bc shes not. She never tells you what exactly what she wants and she grades you on how well you agree with her. If you go meet with her to talk about something you didnt understand you'll leave their even more confused. DONT TAKE HER

First off, she does not agree with any of your viewpoints unless it agrees or is similar to hers. If you want a good grade do what she says and agree with her even if you think she's nuts. Class is boring, she can't lecture w/o putting me to sleep. Avoid at all costs unless you can't.

I started with a high interest in this class, but Kathy made things so hard, that by the end of the semester I could hardly wait for class to end. I have always had A's & B's on essays, but I barely scraped by with C's & D's. She knows her subject, but should not be teaching an intro level class with her expectations of theory. HUGE amount of work.

Very helpful if you use her office hours. I had no idea what I was doing until I went to her office hours! Class consists of her speaking and class discussions. There are many writing assignments! Class can be confusing at times!
