DON'T take this class during a busy semester. Every week is the same: tons of things due Thurs. 11:59 and Fri. at 2pm that you need to start days ahead to balance other classes. HAVE to go to the library for some assignments Very time consuming and irrelevant to life so it's a waste, but make Quizlet your bff and you can EASILY pass with an A.

Dr. Nakatani is an excellent professor. He is very clear and fair. His lectures may seem kind of slow but it ends up making it easy to learn the material even without the book.

Comment:

Dr. Nakatani knows his stuff and lectures in a way which is both interesting and useful. The only things I will say are that the textbook had a lot of unnecessary filler and the assignments were numerous and time-consuming. The 5 part class project was beneficial, but coupled with a midterm, final, and peer feedback there was more work than usual.

Easy class just lots of busywork. Online class tries to makeup class hours with extra assignments and reading. Plan to put in a lot of time to do the easy but time consuming assignments and get a good grade.

Online class is very intensive, writing assignments are a part of every homework. He's easy on grading though. As long as you can keep up with all the assignments and turn in on time, you can do well. But this class is well above average as far as amount of work.

Took this class online. There were a lot of time consuming assignments that felt like "busy work" taking screen shots step by step, but I did learn from them. Expect to spend 2+ hours a week. Professor was available by email and answered VERY quickly.

I would recommend not taking Info. Systems online. The amount of homework is ridiculous, its mostly busy work. Quizzes and essays each week and every other week there is a long assignment due with everything else. Also due dates are on Weds. at 1 pm and sometimes Fri. at 1 pm. Helpful teacher, but the online class SUCKS!

The amount of work assigned in this class is insane. Discussion boards took hours. I don't know if this would be easier in class, but I did not like it online. Also, the group projects have to have a "facilitator" that has to do extra work with no credit and no one wants to do it.

Thnk god this class was online!This prof. assigns meaningless amounts of work even,for an internet course.For most of us in this class, it was very time consuming,information overload,and work overload.It took up 3x the amount of my time than all 3 of my other classes put together.I dont think I would have passed if I took this course in class.

This class was not hard, but I did not enjoy it much. In class assignments have very little to do with tested material. Group projects are major part of your grade. Memorize definitions of words given on review sheets, and you will get an A on the tests.

Very good teacher, for a very difficult subject. He really knows his stuff and is very helpful.
