What an amazing professor. He gave us all the outlets we would need to be successful in this class. We went through the materials very fast, but he did so in a way where I could still understand the materials as well as I could. By the time the end of the semester rolled around, I was very sad to leave this professor.

Keith was a good prof overall. He was very quiet and hard to understand sometimes. He was very monotoned at times and I found it hard to pay attention in class. But he makes sure you understand a topic before he moves on, does many examples in class, and easily accessible outside of class.

Does a good job explaining concepts in the lecture, and goes over some examples. You definitely need to study outside of class, and do example problems. He is easy to approach and ask questions of, and it's easier to talk to him outside of lecture. Has a sense of humor

Keith was quite dry, but this is a very minor complaint, because he taught concepts very clearly. He made things easy to understand, as he's very black and white. I would definitely endure a dry prof such as Keith if it means the actual chemistry is being taught clearly and concisely. Definitely recommend.

You better do the questions in the textbook and take a look at the practice final ahead of time. Study the right material. Challenging course and final exam was long but you could come out with a nice mark if you worked for it right from the beginning. Final included 40 marks of short answer that could be a hit or miss. Lectures not needed.

Professor Brown's 8:30 classes were a little mundane but ultimately he's passionate about chemistry and teaching. His website had extra problems and I used the textbook for taking notes in class and doing some example problems. Keith is great because he tried to make his lectures interesting and the tests were challenging but not impossible.

Great teacher! He was always willing to answer any questions from the students & holds tutorials before major exams. He posts his notes online in his own website, so I was able to go in his class & just focus on what he had to say to further explain topics. He was great at teaching material I was unfamiliar with like vsepr theory. Highly recommend

Great proff, his lectures can be a bit dry sometimes but he explains concepts well. He is always accesible to answer questions after class and holds tutorials before the midterm and final to go over extra questions (highly reccomend). He clearly loves what he does and it is shown through his enthusiasm over the subject.

Had this prof for my first year in term 1. He explained things clearly and made sure everyone understood the concepts before he moved on. He also did demos and got someone to come in and do short experiments sometimes that made the lectures more interesting

Keith Brown is an amazing professor. He does his best to make sure that we understand the material and makes everything simple for the students. Any student, especially if you struggle in chemistry, should try to get into his section.

Keith likes the background to material, so will spend a lecture or two on non-testable material. He goes through quickly. He is always in the Chem help room and willing to give you an extra hand. I liked him, and he had some funny jokes along the way to keep things upbeat.

He is fairly specific when teaching the material, which is good, but leads to long and boring classes. What is in his lectures are what are on the exams, so you only really need the textbook if you have trouble understanding concepts. Overall, I would definitely recommend him!

His lectures were dry and read right from the slides. Added too much history that was not even touched on in the exam. Should have focused on tested material rather then blabbing about non tested material. Would not recommend. Learnt everything from Janice Holmes in the last week of classes. Reading the text front to back is mandatory with Keith.

Nice prof who knows his stuff and teaches it in his own way. Not always the textbook way. Only flaw is that the lectures are a bit dry and he incorporates a fair bit of history.
