The best professor at UWL hands down. His lectures are easy to understand even if you aren't a computer person. Funny guy, knowledgeable and cares about how well every student does. Take him if you can!

Burand is the nicest professor I've had at UW-L and I'm a junior. His small lecture is very easy to understand and he's very helpful. It was just Large lecture with Riley that made the class hard. Take Burand if you can!

Burand is a fun guy and tries his best to make C-S interesting. He's super helpful, but you might need to ask. Sometimes he leaves things out of lectures and you won't know them on his tests, but he curves things a bit. Go to lab and keep up with things and you'll be in good shape.

Makes class enjoyable, even if not interested at all in computer science. Very understanding with problems outside of class, just talk to him. Make sure not to get behind in class, though. Tests are pretty difficult, but like I said -- JUST TALK TO HIM! Great guy! Super understanding!

The material in this class can be frustrating, but Burand is very understanding and helpful. He's a great choice unless you value your personal space a lot, because he doesn't. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I don't recommend skipping, it's easy to fall behind.

this class is hard, but burand makes it easy and so much less stressful.. nicest guy ever and he makes class fun. he doesnt expect a lot out of you and lets you come and go from lab whenever you want. the class sucks but he's the best teacher for it
