I've taken two different classes taught by him, and he is the best professor I've ever had! He's a tough grader, and his assignments include a good amount of reading, but he's so lenient and kind. I truly wish he could teach every subject. Gives great feedback, and he really just wants the best for you. Loved his classes.

He's a fine teacher, but he has this wildly draconian policy where you can not pass his class if you miss a single assignment. Keith, you're not special: when students miss an assignment, just give them a 0 like literally every other professor. That being said he does allow you to turn in late if you miss something.

Had him for my capstone class which was a close study of gay fiction. He handles the sensitive material very well. B/c its a capstone class, you get to pick your paper topics (he gave 2 short ones a long research one) which is helpful. The books he picked were really interesting. He's a fair grader as well. Take him if you can

Thoroughly enjoyed the class. The texts were full of variety with different styles of writing, time periods, etc. The only problem I had was figuring out what he wanted from the response papers. His direction for them and his grading comments didn't quite match. Other than that, really enjoyed the class.

I don't know if it's Gumery or the huge class size and fault of the system, but I felt disconnected from this course. Trivial reading quizzes, having to write decent essays in fifteen minutes, and just generally being treated as an anonymous moron when he grades things. It has made me question whether I want to continue with English as my major.
