Out of all the profs at Mac, he was the most helpful. He would sit and have a serious and honest conversation with you about any of your concerns related to music, whereas others wouldn't give you the time of day, or were demeaning in some way. In my opinion, any course that is taught by Dr. Kinder should be mandatory.

I had him for 20th century music history (when Rapoport was on sabbatical). just stood in front of the class and literally talked - students had to explain to him he should play excerpts of the music he was referring too.
