Comment:

Overall, Schray is good. Lectures go too slowly oftentimes, as he likes to give in class problems then wander around helping students one-on-one for long periods of time. Reading the book is a must to understand some subtleties that appear on exams.

Comment:

Hands down the most influential professor in my college career.Not only is he intelligent, but patient, funny, wacky-fun, and super approachable. He is the only professor I know that will dump ice water over himself in class for charity. I almost wish I failed his class so I can have him again!!!!!!

Cons:Goes very fast during lecture, skips through his notes which are hard to understand.Pros:Is hilarious, takes the time to learn everyone's name and is extremely helpful when it comes to answering questions. Recitations are invaluable. I didn't have time for office hours but heard they were great. Wonderful person, horrible subject.

Schray is an excellent professor. Learns all of his students' names, and makes an effort to teach so that people understand the material. He understands that Orgo isn't the easiest, and he is very patient if people are confused. His exams are tricky, and his grading points are a bit of a shock, but overall, he's a great professor. Very funny too!

He is the best professor at Lehigh. No matter what orgo is very difficult and requires a lot of work, but he is unbelievably helpful to his students and is amazing at explaining everything. He knows exactly what students do and do not understand and caters to their needs. Talk to him and get to know him because he is a great man

Very entertaining professor, and he's as clear as you can be for Orgo. I always followed him 100% until it got to interpreting NRM's and stereochemistry, but those are honestly pretty hard to explain. I eventually understood both of those from his teaching, though. He's always listening to students sand very attuned to what they want and dislike.

100% best professor I've ever had. Didn't do too well in Intro to Chem so I was worried about Orgo, but he makes the class interesting and makes sure his students stay engaged. I made sure he became my advisor. Such a nice guy, too.

Schray is an amazing professor. I love how he genuinely cares and knows all of his students by name. As long as you put in the effort, the class isn't that bad. I didn't like that he gave a lot of time for students to do practice problems though... but otherwise he's great.

One of the best teachers I've had at Lehigh. Somewhat hard to follow in class but absolutely great in office hours (and his office hours are anytime he's not in a meeting, class, or home). Really wants you to succeed, funny, and personable.

Definitely a great professor, however I do not like how he will take long breaks in the class while the students do practice problems. The breaks are too long (either you know it or you dont...) and its very easy to lose your attention

Schray is by far the best prof at Lehigh.Personable/helpful to the extreme.Gets to know almost everyone.Class is tough but he makes it bearable and even fun.Wants you to succeed (eg- posts every old exam/quiz he's given since 2000 to practice).Nothing makes sense at first but then all clicks and you realize there's a method to the madness.Love him!

Best teacher I've ever had. He really wants his students to succeed and genuinely cares (enough to even seek you out if he's worried about your performance in his class). Nicest guy and really makes an effort to get to know all of his students (in an enormous lecture class). Makes Orgo tolerable.
