If you like stubborn 80 yr old men who judge/grade solely based on opinion, which if he doesn't like you receive a bad grade on the assignment, then take him, have a blast. If you are a normal student who wants time to yourself and other classes, don't. Goes on rants about nothing and makes his own text, in class notes are virtually useless

Talks a lot sometimes pointless conversations. Almost seems to make up things as he goes along. Engaging but most of his lecture is HIS opinion and if you don't agree with him on his THINK questions you will end up with a lower grade. Sometimes rude to students somewhat arrogent. Needs to retire!

Professor Wheelock is a fantastic professor, he is extremely knowledgeable and very sharp. However, DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU ARE NOT A SERIOUS STUDENT! His class is very challenging and his antics are extremely colorful.

Oh my god I hated this teacher so much! He is a 78 year old man who needs to retire. He is set in his ways and if he doesnt agree with your opinion, you get a low grade. This teacher needs to retire. He is constantly making up all of these stories about how he meets with all these people and he is always making fun of students. Not cool.

Very good teacher. Only take him if you are good at writing in class essays. He will make you think on your toes. Grade is mostly made up from in class essays, take home essays and participation. Good class discussions and thought provoking. First class, he threw out the history book (similar to Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society)...

Fair (I guess). His lectures seem pointless and boring, just read the texts and other assigned readings from the huge folders he gives you. He does grade for ATTENDANCE. Must write a THINK essay EVERY class on readings and ur opinions on them (even if u don't have one). Tests r not too challenging. Classes r sometimes repetitive.

Mr Wheelock is an intersting man. He certainly knows his stuff. The class is a lot of work, and the only thing you really need to do is do the homework and put a lot of effort into it and you'll get most likely get an A. LOADS of writing thats all the course is.

You do a lot of work, but the class is pretty interesting. If you take good notes in the class, you won't have any trouble. The only thing I didn't like was that he called on people randomly. So, you should come to class having read the assignments due for that day.
