Kelli is an incredible prof. She outlines everything you could need to do well, and gives you opportunities throughout the entire year. If you take notes in class, that's all you need to be test ready. Her average is a B but getting an A is not difficult with a smidge of effort.

Kelli is fantastic! She really cares about the class and criminology. She's engaging, interesting, and we do a lot of group discussions. Her expectations from projects and tests are super clear so there are no surprises. She's approachable and gives helpful feedback.

Lots of soft marks in this class--attendance, at issue q's and review questions account for 20%. Lots of opportunities to get bonus marks in tests & attending optional forums too -- really liked that she adjusted marks on tests by throwing out questions that many people got wrong. VERY textbook heavy so make sure you don't fall behind on readings!

She is a great teacher and would be very happy to take a class with her again. you have to keep up with homework in this class or you will get behind and fail. I watched a lot of other students struggle because they left homework to the last minute

Kelli is experienced and passionate. However, this course was based largely on attendance and in-class participation. None of her lecture notes were posted on D2L. As a mature student, I really struggled with the structure of her class. Be prepared to go to every class and participate in all group discussions if you want an a decent grade.

I have had Kelli several times and she is a good prof. She is very textbook heavy so be sure to bring it to class. Weekly notes from textbook were required and accounted for 10% so be sure to do them. Attendance is also recorded and notes are not posted on D2l so show up to class. Overall material was pretty interesting.

Always go to class. She takes attendance everyday and you will get marks taken off if you miss any. The course is marked from 3 exams and 2 papers. There are no presentations but lots of group discussions. Assignments are clear and you get to choose your own topics. Overall good professor.

Kelli has good energy in the class, I'll give her that; I just did not like how we are forced to study from 3 sources: textbook, D2L, in class. You pretty much teach yourself and just go over it in class. I used 2 notebooks for the notes, you WILL take a lot of notes, be ready for a semester of sore hands.

Kelli is a great prof. She's funny and really promotes in-class participation through group work. Assignments due weekly however they aren't hard and the 2 big papers are well explained. There are ALOT of theories in this course so it can be tough study and organize all the info but if you put in the effort no doubt you can get an A.

Kelli is a really hard marker and super vague during lectures. All of her lessons are online and she expects you to teach the concepts to yourself before class. When I would ask her to clarify things from the readings she made me feel stupid for not understanding, and never really answered my questions. Study the lesson "purposes" for exams to pass

Kelli is pretty big on group discussions. Textbooks are super important - make sure you always bring it to class as lecture or discussions will revolve around it.. which brings me to the next point: if there's assigned reading before class, don't forget to do it! If you're stuck, just pop by her office for some extra help.

I've always been fair to teachers and understood if I failed it was my fault, but not with Kelli. Her assignments couldn't be less clear & on top of that she is quick to give horrible grades. Re took 166 with another prof did about the same on exams but my final grade with Kelli was 52% the 2nd time w the same effort got 81%. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Didn't like Kel from the start because of her threats to take away 1 percent of your grade if you miss a class. She's eager to help but when you actually ask for it she has a hard time answering questions. Lots of busy work and one massive project, but the tests weren't bad. At least the content of the course was interesting.

Kelli is an amazing teacher who is always willing to lend an ear to conversation on topics or issues. She has a great sense of humour and is always willing to share personal experiences to the class for context. She is always approachable and her grading expectations are clearer than the most filtered water in the world. A great teacher to have :)

Vague assignment instructions. Long assignments worth very few marks. Ready to give zeros. Pointless exercises. Do not take a class from her if you can avoid it.

Kelli isn't a bad prof at all. As long as you do all the mini assignments and follow instructions for the 3 interview recordings, it's fine. Her instructions were a bit vague for some assignments though, and there is a lot of work in this class. The final was VERY rushed & had 133 questions & only 2 hours time even though it was open book. Got A+.

She recently is trying out a new "blended" curriculum of online/in class. It was so awful a letter went to the dean with many student signatures. Only 8 or so in class sessions. If I wanted an online course I would have paid less and taken one!! Lengthy assignments so if you miss a concept you lose the grade.
