A lot of 1st year students taking her intro class are astonished to find that they actually are in college. Yes, you must do the readings every day or you will fail, and her expectations are high. But she's genuinely concerned about her students, very clear about what she expects and perfectly fair. Presents material thoroughly and objectively.

Not an interesting subject for me. She seems to think everyone went to Catholic school for a good 12 years and mostly knows the Bible already. I tried to pay attention, did all of the readings, made the flashcards for the quizzes, and still could never get a perfect score on her mostly-weekly quizzes. Tests moderatley difficult so def. study.

Not as hard as people like her make her out to be. She's just boring. I fell asleep every class in December, and kids would fall asleep in the front row. Papers, midterm, and final are all hard. Don't recommend cramming for those three, but otherwise a pretty easy class with an ok professor.

She treats the course as though everyone is a theology major. It was the most work I did for any professor all semester but if you do do the work, you'll be fine.

Took it only b.c it was a requirement. Teacher needs to learn how to not stereotype and generalize everyone into one category. Some of us do pay bills and never went to private school. Also not open to different viewpoints about religion. Didn't want to take the class, but the woman made me hate it after taking hers.

Perhaps the best professor I've ever had. Her Bible analysis is refreshingly impartial to religious doctrine; you read Scripture in context and interpret for what it says. There are weekly quizzes, but as long as you keep notecards and do daily reading they're extremely easy. A wonderful and unusually brilliant professor. I learned SO much!

Geared to reading the bible, not theology (if that makes any sense). Concentrates on literal meaning of biblical verses, not necessarily how those verses have been interpreted by modern religions. Old testament is treated as mythology, not fact. Makes God saying "whoops" and promising Noah to never kill everybody again easier to swallow.

This has got to be a difficult class to teach but I think she does an Excellant job. She is super sweet and really really smart. She knows her stuff and has an answer for everything. I didn't agree with most of her theories but I still enjoyed her class and will def take her again. Just READ the Bible assignments and anyone can pass!!

Some questionable theology. Appears to dislike alt. opinions. (some are admittedly bad theology and understandable, though.) Do everything the way she tells- exactly how- it's not worth it to quarrel. Easy quizzes and tests though. Make certain to say "he/she"...

If you went to Catholic School and studied the Bible before her you are in bad shape. Feels like you study the Bible like we study a novel. She put down many beliefs held by Catholics. Even if you know the Bible pretty well you still need to do the reading and do a note card. Awful

Fairly easy, but sometimes I'm bored to tears in class. Even if you read the 25 page long assignment, the quizzes are impossible without a notecard. Interesting mini-research assignments, ridiculous near impossible group project ~6 ppl,5 hours work, 5 minute presentation~ right before finals.
