She is one of the worst prof you could possibly take in the department. She tells you every week to do more and grades subjectively. When it comes to your final critique she will agree with everything the panel says and tell you things she should've told you during the semester. She has clear ego issues just ask her about sustainability.

Kelly will push you without telling you what to do. Sometimes it is frustrating to only here "do more" but it isn't up to her to design for you! I learned a lot about presentation skills and creating a collection through color and fabric manipulation. She is a tough grader but taking her was worth it.

Kelly is one of the worst professors in the fashion department. LCD is straightforward but she seems to make the assignment vague and harder than necessary. I cannot imagine having her for Apparel Design freshmen or sophomore year. I do not recommend her.

I've had her for two courses. I am a very devoted student and often spend days on my projects focusing on meeting all of her requirements and she doesn't grade me fairly. Even my fellow classmates feel that my work requires a higher grade, but despite that she is a great teacher.

Kelly's assignments for Light/Color/Design are always creative and fun to work on. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on homework, and there is a heavy emphasis on presentation, which I think is ultimately very important. She is a tough grader, but she will always tell you ways to improve.

Kelly's assignments are thorough and well thought out. She also has very good ideas and can be helpful in going over rough ideas. However, as much as I enjoyed her assignments, she is a horribly unfair grader. She cares too much about presentation and tends to disregard design ideas. She would tell me she loved my ideas and then give me a B-

she is an unfair grader and doesn't grade everyone based on the same standards. regardless of what she may tell you, never redue an assgnment, you'll get a better grade if you hand in the project late. i don't plan on ever taking a class she teaches again, working hard counts for nothing.

Kelly is very helpful and cute, she assigns a lot of work, but for apparel, she is a great teacher to have. She went to Pratt herself a few years ago, she knows what we are going through, and of all the apparel teachers, she is the best.
