There are few teachers - let alone people - whom you come in contact with, let alone develop a connection that can impact your life as much as KP has done for me. If you were able to sit in his class, hang with him in the studio, or grab a beer whilst talking about BMW bikes, consider yourself not only lucky, consider yourself blessed.

I came to UM for the MUE program in 1984, and I could see excellence in both Ken and his program. However, I was too 'feral' to devote the kind of focus required of a MUE. I nearly lost my academic scholarship, changed majors, and became a teacher. I'm happy in my career, but I would caution the partier: Change either your major or yourself!
