I absolutely loved Professor Cosner! The class requires a TON of reading and the essays require a lot of thought, but he is an amazing teacher. Participation in class is definitely encouraged and attendance is mandatory.

He gives you absolutely no guidance for the papers he assigns and cops out of any attempt to drag specifics out by saying "ask the so what question" all in all I'd say this guy is a horrible professor. Its hard to get below a B but impossible to get an A so if you want to put up with a semester of no lesson plans, and no syllabus this is the class.

All about baseball. He does not teach that much. Basically, just discussion in a group. He graded based on your errors on grammar/punctuation. It is very hard to get a solid A for this class. He does not consider that much. Quizzes are on reading assignment. Sometimes, the question could be too detail. Find another class if you want to score.

Cosner is fun and really easy. Daily quizzes over the assigned reading, 3 papers, and class participation is all that is required. He gives high grades so long as you show up and at least try to do the work.

Cosner is a great guy. Go to class and he will like you. Three papers that are really easy are most of the grade. He picks really specific things to ask about in the quizzes though, so memorize all of the definitions at the end of the chapter. Overall, pretty easy. I would've gotten an A if I hadn't turned in the final paper late.

Cosner's class is interesting and moves quickly. Attendance is mandatory. Easy B+/A- but harder A. 60% of the grade is 3 essays- one that he only gives an A- on and one that is due for the final. I recommend taking his class if you're looking to kill the W requirement. Don't expect much help outside of class, making getting a solid A hard.

Dr. Cosner is pretty damn cool. Don't miss class, read, act like your interested and he'll like you. There is about 30 pages a night to read. Not bad at all. Grades essays fairly. As long as you look like your putting in effort in class participation, you'll get an A. Quizzes are easy most of the times. If you screw some up, he'll drop the lowest 3

I don't think I will get an A in his class, but he is by far the best English professor I have ever had. The class is not too bad if you keep up with the reading. There are pop quizzes, and attendance is mandatory. He chose the most interesting books to study and has the best rhetoric I have ever heard. Amazing professor. DEFINITELY take!

He gives pop reading quizzes and so you HAVE to do the readings. but he picks the most interesting course topics, i loved all the books except for ones, they were seamless reads. he took our class out to an indian food restaurant for one of our last classes since we read a bunch of pakistani and indian author's books. he's so funny too!!

Dr. Cosner is an amazing professor! The books we read weren't too long, and the discussions were never too boring or painful. He also canceled class early...a lot! The pop quizzes are kind of hard, but your grade won't suffer from it. Definitely take him! He is awesome!

If you do the reading and assignments, this class is a breeze. Go to class and keep up with the rather light workload and there's no reason not to do well. Essays are very open-ended; you can write about anything you want. Nice guy (might seem a little weird at first) who keeps the class discussions interesting. Ends class early a lot.

Very good professor. Very fair grader and always willing to help. You have to be prepared for class (the quizzes are not always easy) and willing to discuss your point of view during the class discussions. I enjoyed these discussions and his laid back style. All in all, a great experience :)
