I took Professor Noone's Anthropology class online. I passed each test with the help of google. That being said, don't buy the book. 2 book reviews (I read the first 3 chs of both books and got and 83%). Pretty easy. She stresses the importance of responding to discussion boards in a timely manner. Didn't put forth much effort; passed with a B.

One of two of my online courses for Summer B term semester. There's tons of reading to do, but if you keep up and have a mind for getting ahead you could get a perfect score on everything (you will need a highlighter for your book). Class structure is excellent. follow her suggestions. interesting textboook material. good teacher. make a schedul

She has a modern approach to teaching as a facilitator of learning. I could work at my own pace. Quiz grades(best of three). Gave exact directions to follow and forums were a pleasure encouraged dialog between students and professor. Also, kept alerting the class to assignment deadlines and asking if anyone needed help. excellent professor!

I had this teacher for general anthropology and I think I learned more from the book then I did from the teacher. While the teacher really knows her stuff about this subject and is fast to email back, I did not find her too helpful when I had questions, she would copy and paste from what she had on the website and would not clarify further.

I took her for online Gen. Anthro.&Cultural Anthro. I found her class to be very frustrating b/c nothing was organized properly online. She was never immediately available to answer any questions I had & anytime I did have a question I was directed to the syllabus. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I took her General ANT class the semester following when I had taken Cultural ANT and received an A. Her work load is unreasonable, she cannot spell, she will advise you to her 8 page syllabus rather than answer any of your questions or tell you that no one else is having issues... If you take her be prepared to teach yourself with no help at all!

I took her for Gen Ant online, term B. There were 16 tests, 4 a week, in just 5 weeks, plus a paper a week and forums. The workload was a lot! She can't spell. Don't bother to ask her a question because she will just copy and paste the directions and send to you. On a few tests the right answer would actually not be the correct answer.

Took online for developmental psychology. teacher was involved in online discussions, answered emails quickly, very clear on assignmets and broke course down into managable sections. Course is easy but you have to keep up with the assignments and do the work. Good teacher.

I could take her test 3 times and the highest grade sticks. This class was so easy and all you have is discussion posts and one BIG book to read. If you like reading about how different people live in an up to date format you should be fine. (2 article reviews, ethic exam, annotated bibli.)

I just dropped her online class. The online discussions were a joke and she had lots of spelling mistakes on her posts. She valued other peoples post that had nothing to back them up over properly cited sources in the discussions. Brags about her accomplishments, and her tests do not reflect the material in the books.

I took her for ANT 2000 over summer B. She had 16 quizzes, 40 discussion posts, 2 book reviews, an annotated bibliography, and an ethics exam. She's a cool teacher, cant write good I got what she wanted me to do. You have to really read and understand the text to do good on the quizzes. Also you should probably post two discussion posts a day.

Cultural anthropology online: 2 article reviews, 1 annotated bibliography, discussion, 16 chapter quizzes.Time given for assignments is reasonable; keep up with the deadline, esp for the discussions, don't wait the last day, or there will be a penalty. Generous grader, however. ***Lots of reading. The textbook will change your life if you read it.<3

She gave an example for an APA formatted annotated bibliography that had copious mistakes and grammatical errors. If I submitted research to anyone associated with the American Psychological Association in the format she gave as an example they would laugh in my face and kick me out the door. Ridiculous that this woman is an educator.

Online class. Prof. doesn't update tests to go with books (I had 2 editions & still many answers weren't in them). Rude (or doesn't know English very well) in emails and postings, doesn't respond to emails in a timely manner, doesn't care when you bring that to her attention. Class itself is easy, she was a pain!

Took Online. The book: The Essence of Anthropology, bought new (wasn't cheap)... conveniently went out of print, so no money back. The online test... all I can say is read everything because even the little pictures with descriptions are tested. Annotated Bibliography a stressful hunt. She has high expectations for a general learning class.

The class itself was wonderful. I did 16 tests which were online so open book. The questions are a little fuzzy at times but you can take the test 2x. The papers were reasonable but my final grade wasnt what I expected. When I finished the class a month ago I calculated a strong A but with her grading system I got a 89.6B? I think I was JIPPED!

I thought the online class was very easy. Just read the chapters and do the weekly quizzes and there are three writing assignments which were pretty simple. No mid-term or final exam, but a lot of discussions. Great Teacher! I had no problem getting an A without the extra credit.
