Dr. Berlin is an amazing professor. He is always available to explain concepts during office hours and he takes the time to get to know his students. I can honestly say OChem requires a ton time, but you are learning OChem from one of the best professors in the world. He has a wealth of knowledge and I strongly recommend taking him! Best professor!

Berlin basically rambles for an hour and half and expects you to regurgitate everything perfectly on exams. AKA youre supposed to teach yourself perfect ochem from a textbook. Super unrealistic unless youre a freakin genius.

Dr. Berlin is very well respected, and I truly would not have passed organic chemistry 1 without him. He's very helpful in office hours, and he genuinely wants his students to do well. You know he' such a great professor because he's been my favorite at OSU, but organic chemistry was my least favorite class.

Dr Berlin is a great man and great teacher. I took O-chem in 1990 and he will push you to your limit, test are brutal, but he is very fair. Make sure to participate and be in class or you are not going to do well. Take the time to visit him out of class at his office and he will help you out and takes the time to discuss and teach.

Amazing professor that is truly for the student! Take him before he retires because you will not regret it! Loves to talk outside of class and is willing to help anyone that tries. I will always remember Dr. Berlin for everything he has done for me and taught me not only in class but about life!

Dr. Berlin is really passionate about teaching young kiddos about Organic Chemistry. He wants you to do well and succeed in his class so you can go on to be successful at your dreams. Show up, study everyday, and come see him during office hours. He's always there to help, and he will reward you for trying your best! (if you did your best)

This is one of the greatest professors in the chemistry department! However, expect to read the textbook to understand the concepts. He gives extra credit, but this is a tough course!

He is super sweet, funny, and really cares about his students. He really wants you to go to class but you kind of have to teach yourself from the book. The tutors are really helpful. His tests are really hard but easier than the other prof. from what I've heard. It will take over your life; you have to study so much. Nothing is posted online.

Dr. Berlin is a funny guy, especially once you pickup on all of his cliche catch phrases that he uses on a daily basis. Incredibly knowledgable and helpful if you seek his help during office hours. He is incredibly old school, all chalk board, no lectures or grades posted to D2L. Book is a must.1 pop Quiz per month but they are usually predictable

This was a very tough course where you had to put a lot of effort into it. Visit his office often, he notices and will sometimes help your grade if he sees you putting a lot of effort into learning the material. Intimidating at times, but in the end the student needs to pass the class so just ignore his comments

HW is over 30% of the class and is straight from the answer key.. you have to study for the exams but if you know what is on the study guide you will be fine. he also gives 20-30 extra credit points for each exam. also he is always in his office and looking to help.. definitely take Dr. Berlin before he retires!

Dr. Berlin is a wonderful professor. He presents the material well and if any of his students is still not understanding a concept, he is more than willing to help. Go to his office hours. Study hard in this class, OChem2 is not easy.

One of my favorite teachers I've ever had. Take ochem with Berlin over the other one! He is tough, and you definitely have your work cut out for you, but if you can just hang in there until the end he will most likely pass you. There are pop quizzes once a month and they are worth a lot of your grad. Definitely get the solutions manual!!

Take Ochem with Berlin! His notes can be a little scattered, but he is willing to help. Buy the solutions manual so that you can get good homework scores. Reactions on the review sheet are near identical to those on the test. Don't be afraid to ask or answer questions in class. Go to his office hours! Very difficult class, but Berlin helps you out.

Dr. Berlin is the best organic teacher at Oklahoma State. Although his lectures are sometimes boring his enthusiasm and willingness to help students makes him one of the greatest professors I have ever had. He is definitely in it for his students, which is rare for science professors.

I had Berlin for Ochem 1 so I already knew how he taught but if you had someone else it can be tough. His notes are sometimes hard to follow but a majority of the notes come from the book. READ THE BOOK and make an outline of the chapter!! He gives a study guide with problems that will be on the test plus what its over. Not a bad class.

Tough class as expected, he curves the class at the end and if you do homework it is a good way to get easy points, he doesn't care if you copy from the solutions manual. Definitely do the review sheet, it isn't quite verbatim and there is extra stuff but it's a fair portion of the test. Sort of tells you when a quiz is coming soon. Approachable

Dr. Berlin is an amazing teacher and cares about his students. Hes very funny in class and is very easy to get a hold off in his office (the only issue I've had would be the line of students waiting to talk with him). He gives study guides for every test, which the reactions he gives are verbatim on the test so be sure to do them. Overall great guy

Dr. Berlin is one of the most helpful teachers I've had. He's definitely an old fashioned teacher and can be a little blunt but if you go to his office he's kind and extremely helpful. He offers extra credit on tests and curves the class. This is your best option of teachers in chemistry at all of OSU, one of my favorite professors ever easily.

Dr. Berlin has very bad handwriting and his lectures can be very hard to follow and sometimes pointless. I recommend reading the book on your own and going to his office hours to ask questions. That should get you an A in the class.
