You will learn that the era before and after are educational, fun and intersting and the era during is a living hell full of agony, pain and misery. If uve done haskell/prolog b4 have fun. If not, dont expect him to teach anything. Can barely type let alone teach. Incredibly****ty notes. Didnt have 1 class where his code even compiled. I would suggest ripping ur skin off and rolling around in salt in prep to his craptacular class..it will feel much beter then being bent over by him..goodluck

Absolutely horrible. Avoid this old geezer at all costs. He can't teach worth sh!t if your going to take this class you better have a light load because the assignments will take a while. Avoid him at all costs.

Awful course taught by an awful prof. Worst notes I've ever seen. Then only way to learn these languages are from the internet and even then it's still tough. TAs only gave enough help on assignments to get a C- or a D at best. But, Loose is the only one teaching this course, so you can't avoid him.

Should leave this course to a Ph.D student to teach for practice. Loose taught all 3 paradigms in a seemingly random order, and confused the hell out of everyone whilst discussing Haskell. Does not care that students can't see his 6pt ultra skinny font overheads and has no website. Get with it.

Loose is just a bad teacher. In lecture he can't string two cohesive sentences together on a good day. On a bad day you'd might as well stay in bed rather than feeling bored and confused. Just say No!
