I'll miss him when he retires! He's a very sweet man even if sometimes boring. He does, however, care a lot, and if you ask him questions, he'll go out of his way to find the answers... plus, he looks like Mr. Rogers -- he deserves some credit for that. :-) Never buy a textbook for one of his classes, though.

Knowledgeable about Constitutional Law, African Politics on the other hand, is not his forte. He shows a clear bias and expresses his frustration and disagreement with those whose viewpoints differ. Makes snide commments. No need for the books in African Politics, b/c his lectures are directly from the texts. Pretty fair on grading.

Quotes the books verbatim in his lectures. You can literally sit with the textbook during his class and underline what he's saying. Is amazingly nitpicky and grades papers based upon your grammar and word choices more than on your information and clarity of organization. Awful lecturer, boring as anything else. THANK GOD HE'S RETIRING NEXT YEAR!

He knows what he's talking about but I didn't like the lack of respect he holds for his students. He was very demaning towards me and other students and he is very arrogant. If all you care about is intellect and intelligence he's your guy, but his character is horrible.

He has demeaned me in more ways than I care to recall. If you want a mindless endeavor absent of any vestige of high academic pursuit, by all means take one of his classes. He's highly partisan and though I generally align with his issue positions, I get frustrated at his arrogance toward students whose views differ from his. Not a good prof.

this guy was the sleeper hit of my fall semester. not the most charming individual out there, but his dry humor and awesome quirky teaching style helped me learn with ease. good man, look past a bad suit into a good soul
