I think he's a good professor,you have to work hard and do things on your own to get a good grade. Whatever he gives on class as lecture is a plus but the most work you have to do on your own. Very helpful when you go to his office. Good Professor despite negative opinion.

DO NOT TAKE HIM!He is the worst math professor I have ever encountered. I aced all my math classes in the past until I had him. He does not explain the material well and his textbook is not very straight forward. I failed the course and took Prof. Choi in the fall. I aced the course. I recommend waiting for a section to open with another professor.

This professor is an expert in this subject. People skills, patience, fresh outlook on presenting the material and enthusiasm about teaching are all sorely lacking. He's ready to retire and should because there are many other professors who actually enjoy teaching and get satisfaction out of it. Clearly Professor Kalmanson does not.

Not good at all. Doesn't explain material good, is confused,always makes mistakes on the board at least 4 to 5 times a class. Teaches it as if it is calculus or higher. Doesn't seem interested in the pre-calculus portion of the course. By far the worst math teacher I have ever taken in my life. Shouldn't be teaching.

do not recommend this class to anyone b/c this prof. is crazy! doesnt know how to teach and wont answer questions. oh & whatever you do, do not ask for a pencil sharpener b/c he thinks its a waste of time and will kick you out of class. 4 quizzes + final exam (difficult). BEWARE!!!!

This is the worst teacher I have ever had. He doesn't understand the concept of teaching. He constantly messes up the problems on the board. I got an A because I read the book back to front. It had nothing to do with his rambling nonsense. He has no idea how to use triple iterated integrals. He wasn't able to accomplish one correctly. Disgrace.

He is a very good professor. I took math-114 fall 08 of my freshman year, and I received an A-. As long as you do all the work he assigns as optional then you are fine. I used the textbook a lot. USE IT! He is a nice man, he is willing to help you in his free time. The only thing i did not like was his timed quizzes.

He's the author of the txtbook you use in class. Three exams only. Easy to pass as long as you do the homework. Not too smart of a guy, but nice nonetheless. Doesn't make you do HARD examples of problems. Explains how the math relates to a business environment.

Not only does he have a poor attitude, he has absolutely no idea what's going on. When he gets stuck in explaining a problem, he just ends with "etc." and a lecture about how we should already know the method... the method he's being paid to teach. I've taken Calc III elsewhere before, the few times he does explain something, he explains it wrong

Called me stupid & an idiot. Asked how I even got into his class bc I participated. The meanest & most sarcastic prof. Makes everyone feel stupid. OK at office hours but still rips ppl apart in class. Never met a more horrible person, DONT take his class
