GREAT TEACHER! its called STUDYING THE MATERIAL EQUALS GOOD GRADES! memorize and pay attention in class! there was 8-10 tests; he drops the lowest two. he wants you to pass; IT IS NOT HARD. the sociology book is very expensive though, try and get a rental or used one.

Throughout the class he mainly talks about stories in his life, making it difficult to sometimes stay awake. The multiple choice exams are not made up by him and come from the book. It's hard to take notes during class bc he rambles, my suggestion to you is read the chapters and take notes on your own, thats how you will be successful.

Professor Sutcliffe was an overall good teacher. He basically talked about his life or real life situations, not much from the book. Although he did take quizzes from the book and use them in tests. He is very upfront and you know exactly what will be on the test agead of time. Only 5 tests including final.

This guy is a joke. His lectures will mainly be ramblings about his life and nothing relevent to sociology. Tests are strictly about what's in the book and thank god. Getting a book is not optional here. If you can retain knowledge from books, you shouldn't have any issues with his multiple choice tests.

I took him for sociology & speech. I STILL don't know what sociology is all about and i tried very hard to pay attention. It's IMPOSSIBLE to take notes in his class because he never stays on one subject and spends most of the time talking about his personal life. I had trouble staying awake. Take him if you could care less about soc & want a break.

It was hard to sit through his class, especially when I actually wanted to learn about Sociology. Instead, I heard more about his life than I'd care to know about. If you want to hear the story about how his daughter worked at Dunkin Donuts when she didn't have to, he's the guy for you.
