Dr. Tarnowski is intimidating the first week of class,but do not let that scare you. He gets more approachable throughout the semester. He is one of the best professors, and you will learn in class. He has great applicable stories to each topic,but he doesn't use/provide Power-points,but does give oral study guides before the exam. Very smart man.

He definitely takes some getting used to, but once you understand his toughness comes from a place of caring, youll love him! He genuinely wants his students to succeed and his lectures are SO interesting. You should do well as long as you pay attention!

He takes some getting used to but he's honestly really great. Really intelligent, knows exactly what he's talking about. Get the textbook because you won't pass without it. I learned loads from this prof and I'm taking him again next semester for his intro to clinical psych course.

Ive spent two years avoiding this professor because of his reviews and I completely regret it. Dr. Tarnowski is hands down the best professor Ive had thus far. You have 4 exams and that is it. Go to his lectures, theyre interesting and extremely informative. This guy knows what hes talking about and really inspires us to push ourselves further.

Dr. T is by far the BEST professor at FGCU. He's very straight forward and will give you honest, tough-love, but at the end of the day it's only because he wants you to excel. He makes himself extremely available outside of class to help with class material or to help with your future career. He's BEYOND intelligent, and really an amazing resource!

Dr. Tarnowski is one of the best professors I've ever had at FGCU. He's intimidating, but really nice once you get to know him. He's extremely intelligent, which is what makes him intimidating. He really cares about his students learning. If you're a junior/senior in the class, he wants to help you figure out what you want to do after graduation.

Does not publish his power points, he prints his own presentation and brings it to class. His lectures are highly disorganized and often detracts from the material he is displaying. Does not make it clear what you are going to be tested on. His test is 100% written response, 1 page per question. Did not assign pages to be read from the book.

Professor Tarnowski is hands down the best psychology teacher at FGCU. He is the only teacher I've had that makes early morning lectures interesting. You have to read the textbook and attend class to do well. He is hard but cares so much about his students and their success in the future. Go to his office hours and participate in class.

One of the most knowledgable profs I've ever had. Hes very straight forward with his expectations and does want the best for his students. He does expect a lot of respect because he is still a practicing clinical psychologist and doesnt put up with being late/skipping. However, he is by far one of my favorite profs and will help you if you need it

I took Dr. Tarnowski for summer B of my freshman year, and it was easily one of the best decisions I have ever made. My class was 3.5 hours long and I never got bored one time. Do NOT be late to class, and be prepared to read - a LOT. Besides that, hands down amazing professor. Take advantage of his office hours. I'd take him again in a heartbeat.

I took Professor Tarnowski for psychology. He is very knowledgable and knows what he is taking about. He gives good, entertaining lectures. He has an intimidating, somewhat snobby attitude because he is a doctor. The grade is out of 4, 100 question multiple choice tests. 35 points are deducted for an absence. You have to read to do well on tests.

Dr. T is by far the BEST professor at this school. He's intimidating at first, but if you go to his office hours, he genuinely cares. He knows everything he teaches and uses real examples. He likes to have fun with it. He gave me a better idea of my career path. Just don't be late. Three multiple choice exams. Definitely taking him again!

Dr. Tarnowski is extremely intelligent and an amazing teacher that gets you interested in the material! He is not arrogant, he just knows his skill level! He does give tough love, and you must attend every class, pay attention and take the class seriously. Loved this class!

Dr. Tarnowski is a GREAT professor. He is always willing to help and he is very clear. A bit arrogant at times. I learned a lot in his class and I also feel more prepared for graduate school. Go to class, study/read, and you will get a good grade. Follow his rules because he means what he says (trust me). I would take him again in a heart beat.

I had him for Abnormal and honestly he is one of the best professors I've ever had at FGCU. He knows his stuff and is so passionate about the topic. Lectures are never boring with him and I could have listened to him talk for hours. I really wish he taught more classes at FGCU because the psych department is really lacking. Study hard!

He is the epitome of tough love, attend class, read and understand everything conceptually, and then be prepared to answer essay questions on the material. He IS a snob, and full of himself, but you learn to love him for it. Do not ask stupid questions, you will be sorry. Takes students to a higher level, and therefore, I have nothing but respect

The best psychology teacher at FGCU by far! I wish that they offered more classes with him because I would definitely take them. The class can be intense at times and it does take a lot of work, but as long as you read the book and take plenty of notes during his lectures you will be fine. If you need extra help make sure you go to his office hours
