Kent talks and talks and talks... he DOES not get tired of over explanation! There are classes that he will talk for 3 hours straight and wouldn't let you do a thing. While he is talking he picks on some of the students and bully them. When you go home, you will need 2 hours nap to reenergize! Sculpture 1 can be the funnest class If Kent lets it!!!

Tends to impose his own ideas over your ideas. Which make it hard to feel like the work is originally yours. Good sense of humour, but if it wasn't for that I would find the class frustrating. Not enough in class time to really complete anything. Long winded explainations made me want to go get coffee.

Amazing prof!! Super supportive and really encourages creativity. It didn't even really feel like a class, it was so much fun. He has a very engaging personality that makes everyone welcome. I had absolutely no interest in sculpture before I took his class, I had to take it as part of my degree. It ended up being my favorite class.

Kent is a pretty good prof. He likes people to be ambitious so don't be afraid to express yourself. Imperfections are good - they add interest. Look at your piece as a whole and not as a one-sided object. Very easy going and nice. Highly recommended. A fair marker but knows what your capable of and wants you to reach your full potential.

He's the nicest and most helpful teacher I've ever had! There are times though that you're under the impression that he thinks every strange dimple or blemish, crease, cravatte, line, or figure of any kind is "beautiful"... Otherwise the greatest teacher ever! He comes HIGHLY recommended if you're interested in sculpting!!
