Comment:

One of the kindest & understanding professors. If something comes up, talk to him, & he will work with you. Love love loved this class & I would recommend it to anyone! Study hard for the tests & know all the information so you can get a ton of extra credit. He really wants you to learn about the NA culture & he's the best person to learn from

If you do every assignment and show up to every class, it's an easy A. Lectures are pretty boring because he turns off the lights and has pictures that you have to memorize. He's clear on every assignment, has reviews for tests, pop quizzes for poor attendance.. there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to make a good grade in this class.

One of my favorite professors at Texas State! If you show up and listen you will do just fine in the course. Reilly is extremely knowledgable when it comes to Native American beliefs and I greatly enjoyed his class.

I have never learned so much in a single class in my life! Reilly is so knowledgeable about his courses and very funny and laid back. I highly recommend his Native American Beliefs class. Not the easiest but he makes it fun and very interesting!

Im going into my final semester and Dr. Reily was by far the best professor I have ever had. I looked foward to going to his class. I took his Olmec class and he gave the most interesting lectures. Gives great test reviews and TONS of bonus points. I got a 118 on my last test. Hes so interesting and so funny too! I laughed every class.TAKE HIM!

Fascinating lectures. He is brilliant and inspired, and genuinely helps his students. He can play favorites--you'll know you're on his bad side, but might not know why. Exams are almost too easy, but his intriguing lectures make up for that.

He's passionate about his subject & likes to involve students' hypotheses in lectures so everyone learns more. Is very helpful if you have any questions. Can be a little intimidating but truly cares for his students and is the sweetest old man I've ever met. Requires a lot of studying but the material is very interesting!

He wants everyone to get high grades and his lectures and tests are designed so that almost everyone will. He is friendly but moody, so you do want to be careful about asking him anything too ridiculous, and talking to him outside of class might not provide the kind of response you desire. So just go to class and pay attention and you'll do fine.

I adored him. he has a vast ego, but still he is an amazing prof. I was surprized by his work with Linda. I really think he should broaden his opinions on archaeo-astronomy though. He should not be so opinionated about the material he is teaching. he also needs to not dismiss Jung as bunk... or Campbell.

I had Dr. Reilly for Myths and Moundbuilders several years ago. He was very up front about what to expect and the amount of work it was, but after that he was very helpful. His class was also very interesting and he was right when he said it'd alter your perception of Native Americans. I'm only sorry I lost touch with him after I graduated. He was one of my best teachers.

Dr. Reilly is the best professor you will ever have. I have taken 3 of his classes just because he was teaching it, and they were all great! Don't miss class, get there on time, take good notes, and you should make an A. He is awesome and always willing to help his students.
