I was surprised with the end result of this class and I believe it was mainly due to the TA grading the homeworks and midterm and Li grading the final. Apparently he is much harsher grader than his TA because everyone's grade dropped a full letter. People with A's went to B's, and people with B's to C's. Not really at all acceptable in grad school.

Easy A. I made mistakes and he didn't even notice and I still got it right. Doesn't explain a thing so I used the student help desk. But other than that, the class is a push over... But interesting!

Easy A! This was a really easy class for me. The assignments and and tests are spelled out word for word in the textbook, it's almost toooo easy. I didn't ever pay attention in class, and still got an A on every graded material. Take this class for an easy A

Class was the easiest computer science class I have ever taken. Only 4 programming assignments the whole semester! The lab was a waste of time, it was for doing homework not practicing lecture material! Tests are easy, the final was a joke--not comprehensive. Final focused mostly on the last 2 sections of the textbook. Easy class, BORING lectures.

Very good professor. Straight foward with what he expected from the class. He tried to make the class interesting, but how can you make languages and machines interesting? Very helpful during office hours. Definitely recommed him as a professor.

He's a nice teacher..But he doesnt explain things too well in this class..Its a pretty easy course but if you dont know anything about things like xhtml and javascript i advise you before taking this class to get a tutor or get familiar with the material.

Very good teacher. Explains the material well. He made me appreciate and enjoy the course, and he always finds a way to break the ice during the lecture to open class discussion. My favorite professor so far at New Paltz.
