She is the rudest professor I have ever had and it seems like she only teaches to listen to herself talk. She expects everyone to be perfect and if you aren't, then she will let you know.

The quizzes are hard but she grades them generously. The two papers are easy if you strictly follow her guidelines. She tries to include stories during lecture to make things interesting. Go to class because sometimes there's a sign-in sheet. She's pretty tough but she wants you to do well and goes out of her way to help her students.

Dr. Fater is wonderful. She is a hard grader yes, but she has years of valuable experience in nursing, more so than other professors. She has her doctorate in nursing, unlike many other undergrad profs. She might seem intimidating at first, but if you talk to her one on one she is very interested in helping you through any problems you have.

She is the definition of rude! When you go to her for help, she's useless! Don't even bother reading the book for discussions because she loves to listen to herself during class. She's a hard grader and this class is pointless. She pulled me aside last class and pretty much told me I shouldn't be a nursing because I failed one exam. AWFUL PROF.

She is a very tough teacher! She is a very tough grader and her tests do not pertain to the text! ALways attend class and make sure you ask lots of questions prior to writing papers becuase she is not clear on what she wants all the time

Attend class, be active in discussions, do readings and you will be fine. Unfortunately, you have to take this course in order to stay in nursing program because this is one of the most useless courses at UMass. She has her opinion on how things should be, but if you have a feel for who you are don't argue, just get through the course.

Does not coordinate class with text. Makes things much more difficult than they should be. Really "phoning it in". Uninterested in actual teaching of material. She feels like her showing up is a gift to her students. Has massive superiority complex. Has a long history of disappointed students.
