This class was a traumatic experience. I don't even know which class I took because I dropped it so fast. Kev kept going on about some other class he likes teaching better so nothing was learned. He is so preoccupied with talking that he cares little about teaching the class.

Phil 110 can definitely be tough, and it's extremely easy to fall behind if you don't keep up with going to class or homework. But Prof. Klement is very willing to explain the material as needed during office hours or by appointment. Really understanding and helpful guy

Professor Klement means well but this class was just awful! He doesn't realize that we all don't think like him. I do not recommend taking this class. The material starts off relatively easy if you go to class & keep up with the homework. However once you hit the second exam it all goes downhill. The content is confusing & utterly pointless.

Dude speaks in a really weird soft-smooth tone. Lots of kids don't go to class ever, but they're also the ones who tend to be screwed the most. He says no one goes to his office hours but that's because they're during class times like Wednesday at 10am. Material gets hard real fast if you're not paying attention and paying attention can be hard...

Don't take this class if you are not math-oriented because it will be impossible- take another R2! He is available during office hours but unless you totally understand everything and get good grades, it will not matter to him at all the amount of effort you put in. Like normal, the TA grades a lot of the work and mine was pretty tough.

Pretty easy class if you put in the time. Class is not mandatory at all, but it can help. All of the information you need is online. Practice problems with answer keys before all exams. Definitely requires practice. You get to drop the two lowest exam grades. The final is a retake of the last two exams. Lectures can be long and boring.

Very boring class. Material is more like a math class than a philosophy class. He provides all material online including the text book. You can drop your lowest two exam grades. The whole class is very abstract and lecture is painful to sit through. Can not emphasize enough how boring every day of class was, i regularly saw people falling asleep.

Wow, what a funny, passionate guy. Super fun, cared about the subject, happy to be doing his job. Most kids were disrespectful and left class rudely because they're ignorant and not interested.. but you will pass with ease if you pay attention and do your HW! Gives 2 make up test, so nice. It is truly sad to see the lack of intellect at UMass...

This class is very easy to get an A in and Kevin helps with that. He designed a program that has all the homework problems and lets you do them online, an immediately tells you where you're wrong and why. Using this program for just 2 hours got me a 100 on my past two exams. Many people complain about this class, which is because no one ever goes.

I'm a philosophy minor, but I took this course for an R2 requirement and it was an AWFUL decision. I attend every class, but he never goes through the process of how he reaches the answer of problems. He doesn't answer questions and is not willing to help. I would never recommend this professor. The course could be interesting if it weren't for him

This class will teach you nothing about philosophy. It is more of a glorified algebra class with no meaning or structure. Not worth it to go to class, he has no clarity and expects you to know how to do it. And asking for help is just as bad, if not worse. Just do it on your own and show up for tests to get this gen ed out of the way.

Taking this class right now and will be getting an A. The course itself is pretty but he's not interested at all in helping students. I went to him for questions a few times and he's just really cold and not interested in helping you at all. if u wanna take this course, take it with hardigree.

Kevin is nice, but dry and forgets the fact that many of his students have never thought about these things before and so it doesn't come very easily. He isn't very engaging and the material is not easy. The papers were challenging and the quizzes were very easy. Not a very enjoyable class, but not so bad.

Kevin has a quiet power about him. He is deeply concerned with the issues in this and his other classes and he conveys this in his anxiousness to re-examine the subject matter. He's open-minded about things and doesn't seem to put too much of an emphasis on grading (he will give you the benefit of the doubt). Plus, the readings are all online.

A great teacher for logic. He is EXTREMELY helpful because he teaches the material meticulously and reviews extensively before every exam. Not the most interesting class, but that's because of the subject matter. He has a good sense of humor and really does a good job commanding the lecture format. This class was sooooooooo easy.

He does very little to help with the exams, and if you go to see him during office hours he provides very little support and tends to allow favorites to suck up. Do not take the course with this professor because he does not help make the material interesting at all.

A lot of reading and your grade is dependent solely on ten quizzes (from the reading) and four essay-style exams. Kevin has a very informal and expansive teaching style. This is definitely not a discussion based class though, and his grading style is fair but his comments can come off as harsh.

Kevin has a genuine passion for philosophy, specifically logic, and quite successfully communicates that passion. I have very little interest in logic and I still ended up enjoying the class. Very easy to do well so long as one attends lectures and follows his examples closely.

Holy crap literally nap time! It's not really all his fault, the subject is pretty darn boring, but he doesn't really help. It's impossible to do well if you don't go to class and stay awake for most of it. He gets so pissed if you try and leave early though. No outside work, only 6 exams and 2 are dropped. Easier than calc though if you need an R2
