Dr. O'Neill is a great teacher! There's a reason he has won awards for his teaching before. His lectures are very straightforward and interesting. I now am very interested in entomology. His grading is fair and he is one of the best test writers I've had. However, the class is not easy and you definitely need to show up to lectures. Take this class

Having him for CLS 201 is the worst thing ever. I have never hated a class more. The best day in class (before I quit going) was when he wasn't there. I missed a few classes but decided I would try to get my grade up anyway, and he told me that I was failing because of those classes I missed. Ridiculous!

He's really bitter that there's not an entemology department here anymore and comes off pretty mean. Lectures can be pretty dry. Exams are long and really in depth. His paper seems easy, but he rips into it like it's your senior thesis.
