Overall a really enjoyable class. The Unix portion of the class was fun and not too tough, but I found the C labs a little tricky at times. Sahr's lectures are very organized and structured which made for some very clean and easy-to-read notes. Not a hard class if you really make an effort to understand the material.

Honestly, one of the best professors I've had. Amazingly easy to follow and breaks down your questions in a way that makes in impossible to not understand. He will take his time with you. Highly recommended.

Sahr was super organized when I took the class. He always handed out his PowerPoint slides in hard copy at the start of class-- very helpful. He took things slow with the class, really made sure everyone who wanted to be engaged was up to speed. Didn't prepare me enough for 257, because Pete was teaching it. Wish Sahr taught 257 that term too :\

GREAT GREAT GREAT PROFESSOR. Dr. Sahr's lectures are extremely well-prepared and clearly delivered. He is ALWAYS available outside class (esp. by e-mail). He can admit when he doesn't know the answer to a question, but always goes out of his way to find an answer. His expectations for labs and quizzes are very clear. WONDERFUL

If you taking programming 1 from Kevin you will actually learn something unlike with Pete, or Wilson or Harvey. He does a very good job at teaching the material and is very helpful if you have questions. Responds to emails quickly and always points people in the right direction. Overall good teacher.
