Challenging course, but overall very rewarding. He is great to talk to OUTSIDE of class. The homework assignments are easy if you do the reading. If you have problems, he is happy to discuss with you through e-mail and during his office hours. If you're an Anthro. major, I highly recommend this class. If not, you may be bored.

I tried so hard to stay awake in his classes, but his voice was just too monotous, and he was just reading from the powerpoint presentations most of the time... another thing I still don't get is that I was so sure that I was going to fail his class, but I passed with a B, and my friend, who was there every day and studied all of the time, failed.

Dr. Hill is a world-famous anthropologist (like Indiana Jones, but not as good looking), so you'll get more out of his Power Point presentations than you would from a graduate student's. His expectations weren't unreasonable, but he does get [justifiably] mad when students are rude.

He is extremely rude! His questions are insanely hard to the point where even graduate students miss them! The only good thing about him is his wife, who is a great Professor.

I think the class was a bit diffucult for the 100 level and the homework assignments were sometimes assigned before he covered the material in class (which was NOT cool), but at least he was willing to help students during office hours.

As long as you read the notes, it's an easy class. You won't get much out of the lectures except random attendance points.

Interesting class, although his voice is monotone and it WILL put you to sleep once in while. The class itself wasn't too difficult, but that last major project for the class took a fair of time and research to complete.

HORRIBLE teacher. Assigns homework with no explaination how to do it, refuses to help his students, gives extremly hard tests, and is very rude. How is this man a professor in the study of HUMAN BEINGS while he's so horrible to human beings himself?

He is a cool guy. His voice is hella monotone but he actually makes anthro very intersting. He tries to make it as easy as he can buy giving great lectures, great study guides, and posting all of his lectures on the net. Definitely take his class if you have to take anthro.

Ridiculously egotistical. This DOES get in the way of his teaching. I love the subject... but I find him dry. Maybe this will change when we get further in the class. I hate that he is so untouchable.

The final covered a ridiculous amount of material for a 101 class. Except for that, the class was pretty easy. Somewhat odd man: he would practically break out in tears whenever people came in late, or left early... and the gardeners outside were his mortal enemies (the lawn mowers drove him nuts). Heh, one time he made the TA close the door to the outside because a plane was flying over, and was making too much noise.

This class was freaking hard. The homework was hard the tests were really hard. Luckily he grades on a VERY generous curve. He's a good teacher but this course is challenging.
