This is the only time I have ever used this site! he is a horrible teacher and it appears he knows it because he will actually try to make this site look bad. I am not the only one telling you he's a crap teacher on here. also, the 2-week course is like 2 papers that you have to print out and give to his office. and his tests are just written.

Professor Walker really didn't each much in this class because the majority of the time is spent watching movies. He seems like a nice guy, but he is a bit scatterbrained. His power points were confusing and not very informative. If you do your work and follow the analysis examples you can get an A.

I've taken 2 out of the 3 classes he offers, and I've gotten A's in both. As long as you work hard, take notes, and turn your homework in on time, you won't have a problem. He is eccentric, but knows what he's talking about when it comes down to it. I got a bad grade on my first screenplay in the class, and he let me redo it for a better grade.

Okay, class ended weeks ago and there's still not a single grade in. It's stressing me out, so I came here to vent. I would avoid this class if you can. There was a total of four things he had to grade (COME ON) and still not a peep. I have no idea what my standing is.

He is extremely arrogant. He is rude to his students and looks down upon them. Nothing is good enough in his eyes and to be honest it seems like he just doesn't care. He does not teach. He plays favorites with students he has had before, has no respect for what people have planned in their spare time, and overall he's just a horrible person.

I am extremely biased, because my mother had a stroke during this semester, and Walker was the only one out of my five professors who was completely unwilling to offer any flexibility in a due dates, despite the major trauma, difficulties, and life changes I experienced these past 4 months. Walker's knowledge is only beat by his pretentiousness.

A tough grader, but that's his worst aspect. You will only struggle in his classes if you a) don't have any idea what you're doing, or b) you THINK you know what you're doing but don't. A fair instructor, he treats everyone with respect, and if you're serious about the COMM field, he will help push you along and provide oppurtunites.

Dr. Walker is the worst professor at UCCS. He holds personal biases, has no idea what he is talking about and tests on material not covered in the book or in class. He is impossible to work with and terribly grouchy. I avoid taking a class with him not only because he will make your life hell, but because it is a true waste of money.

I was one of the few people to take notes, attend every class, pay attention and not sleep during the movies and I eneded up with a C+. He does not explain the material and if you have no exp. with directing or movie courses, do NOT take this class. He does not grade fair. AVOID.

The one single teacher on campus that I have learned the most from at UCCS. If you want to work in film/video, he's quite the teacher.

Thinks he knows something about film analysis and filmmaking but can't get beyond the very basics. He makes mistakes, insults the students, and fills the classroom with major self-importance (odd given that he has done next to nothing in his field!). He has no clue that most students tend to regard him with dread. Avoid at all costs.

I was really looking forward to Film and Video, but his class was filled with pointless lectures and he's his own biggest fan. He doesn't grade fair and when you talk to him, is unwilling to work with you. AVOID.

I am only happy about one thing. The class is over. He's very unfair and won't help you with problems or questions. He still thinks he's going to be an actor or something and it's pathetic. If you need to take this class take it with someone else!

He thinks that everyone is a hollywood director. Unless you want to make movies, never get out of class early even when you have a test and dread it every week - dont take this class.
