If you want to hear about whichever natural disaster we're talking about that day, and how it will kill us all, take this him. Other than that, he's very morbid and has no faith in the human race. Consistently talks about death and will say "i don't want to scare you, but you should be scared." Tests are also really hard for a 100 level class.

Really awesome teacher!! Very engaging, interesting lectures and pretty funny. Take extra notes on his lecture notes STUDY STUDY and STUDY! Tests werent easy at first, but I managed to get A's on the last 3. Even though Im a Geology major it was a pretty easy. Just know your notes and fine details. Labs are hard, but easier tests. pay attention!!

really cool guy. the class was so hard i had to drop it, but that was just because of the lab. really personable, and interesting. if you have to take geology and don't mind having to study, get him definitely. one of my favorite teachers at this university.

One of the best lecturers at Radford, but his tests are really really challenging. SO much information to memorize. Does offer extra credit, I would say his class is totally worth it, but if you cant do tests at all, dont go for this class. GREAT lecters though.

Terrible, terrible class. I have A's in all my other classes and a D in this one! He is a great lecturer and can be quite engaging. However, he provides no direction for tests and my class average is a low C. I'm not a Geol. major so he disregards me.
