Comment:
He has excellent knowledge of statistics but truly not the professor for Algorithms. He makes a simple problem very difficult and kind off trick students by showing off his statistics knowledge. I think he should refer coursera and learn how other professors teach algorithms.

The instructor selects a few topics of the course curriculum and explains them slow and long. Concepts are explained with an example. But doesn't cover all topics. Textbook is a must-have. Luckily we didn't had any assignments, pop-quizzes for our batch. He usually prefers B (B- B B+)

Kishan is one of the worst professors in the Computer Science Department. Hard to understand and thinks so highly of himself. He started the year off by saying that he was a bad teacher and to read the book. He also didn't show up to the mid term and left a note saying that said we would not have any questions. Take a different course if you can.

Comment:
Mr. Mehrotra is a very lack-luster teacher. Important topics and key instructions are either left out of his lecture completely or lost in his heavily accented drone. Most of the time he scribbled notes on those yellow notepads and threw them on the projector which were impossible to decipher, much like his test questions.

Moves very fast with lecture material. His homework will not prepare you for his exams at all. You can do fine on the homework and still easily tank his exams. Saw things on his exams that were either never discussed. In his defense, I've had worse teachers. He just really needs to restructure his courses.

Terrible. Exams contained many errors in questions (for which students were penalized for), the exams were too long, and his lectures are disorganized. I learned everything from the book (which is actually pretty good)

Comment:
Kishan is an atrocious professor. He teaches out of a rather dated textbook, which is not necessarily a fault, but has opted not to refresh his materials towards current standards. Additionally, he is rather condescending towards students, not only creating a negative classroom environment, but also preventing students from flourishing.

he is good at teaching but he never answers to the doubts raised by the students. He in fact asks question if someone has a doubt. So people don't ask their doubts even if they have one.

Amazing professor. The best professor that I have ever had.He teaches from the scratch and attending his lectures is enough to get a good hang of Algorithms. Makes a tough course like algorithms also interesting. The way he teaches all topics is so good that we do not have to go back and study. very helpful professor. Syracuse is lucky to have him.

Lectures not well organized, jumps around a lot. Textbook not particularly useful. Going to office hours and the TA's help sessions were not helpful, Google got me through this class.

Mehrotra takes a peculiar, narrow approach to the subject. He knows what he's talking about, but you won't, and you won't be able to read half of what he writes on the board. Very willing to meet outside of class, but not really very helpful. Steals his notes from other schools, without acknowledgement. Never gives a clue about what to read.

Very bad professor. He has a very unfriendly personality. He just can't handle the class very well. I think he knows what he's talking about, but he's kind of arrogant about the way he teaches and answers questions.

Horrible... half of the time guy has no clue what he is talking about (plus he overuses "in particular" phrase). The worst prof at SU! Don't count on him for help. The chances are, if you don't know it, he wont either! Pretty much hope for a generous curve (and they are generous)...

Kishan is not a very good teacher. To his credit, he tries to derive formulae on his own. He never succeeds, though, and the class is left sleepy and confused. For this particular course, he didn't even cover the NP hard/complete class of problems, which is something every CS'er should learn.
