LOTS OF READING...I read about 50% of the stories and I ended up with a B in the class. I would not reccomend the same strategy though. Grades pretty hard and is a pretty nice person. The class in general is boring. Try and get it later then 10 AM so you can stay awake.

I would not reccomend her for 102. she is a very hard grader and if things aren't her way then your screwed. She has very strong views about everything and she wants you to agree. She is willing to work with you outside of class and revise the grades she gives. Homework every night!!

she is very into current events so she tends to make you read essays about such things. not very organized with her lesson plans but she almost always lets you out early. she collects your notebooks so make sure you do your homework! she's also an interesting woman if you get to know her.

She is a hard and unfair grader. The stories are very boring. You do the same thing in class everyday. The class is tedious and a waste of time. If you are going to take short story I recommend that you take it with another teacher. The papers are ridiculous; I am an English major and I did very poorly in her class. Don't take her!

She's a cool lady but sucks as a teacher..b/c: she picks the worst stories and plays for u to read and do papers on, seriously i would have rather read the dictionary,she grades too tough for how unclear she is in explaining assigns,and u can tell she doesnt like her job, no fun,get someone else!

She's basically a hippie. Very liberal...most of the class discussions turned political(took the class the semester of the Bush/Kerry election). She doesn't make assignments very clear and the class is mostly about discussing essays in the textbook. She is, however, nice and is very approachable.

I had this teacher 1996 and she was terrible. She accused me of plagerism and said that I cheated I proved her wrong by writing the paper again in front of her word for word. She needs to resign and stop wasting good students time.
