Kosta is an amazing professor. He knows his stuff, guides his students to ask questions and join discussions, plus he is hilarious. He's a tough grader but he gives clear and helpful feedback on all graded work. Also, he is approachable with questions in and out of class. Finally, he's a great advisor.

Kosta is irritating, obsessed with himself, and generally a pain to deal with. The course itself was easy, but tolerating Kosta should have been a separate grade. So much Plato and so little learning.

Kosta's kind of nuts. But in a good way. I am certain you will not find a better Greek professor; Greek is a rough language, but Kosta makes it fun. I've had him as my advisor and when you cut right down to it, he's been really helpful about cutting out the **** of senior year.

He knows pretty much everything there is to know, which can be kind of intimidating but I found it made me want to impress him, which rarely happens. His class was interesting and he was super adorable and funny. I would definitely recommend taking Greek, especially with him as a teacher.

Kosta is really passionate about the material for any of his classes, especially for Greek. Very quirky, tends to assign strange homework, like listening to rock music loosely related to The Iliad. Hilarious, though tends to control discussions. One of the best and most excited professors that I have ever had.

Kosta is a great man - but not a great teacher.Courses are guided by personal whims. Papers are graded on whether they align with his ideas (or those of experts). Students are expected to enter the class with prior knowledge on the subject, even if there were no prerequisites. Classes are unguided; lectures are unfocused. Don't waste your time.

Very strange. Do not take Burning Sapphos and Laughing Medusas if you don't like poetry. He is very strange and it's very disturbing the hear him read the sexual poems in our texts.

Took Greek Civ. and Ancient Biography with Kosta-- what a guy! He might be a little too smart for intro classes, because Biography was far better than Greek Civ--and I think that's because he was more comfortable with experienced students. HIGHLY recommended, though, in any class. Just shady enough to be interesting, and smart as all get out

Kosta is a very hard teacher. He is clearly passionate about the material he teaches, especially greek. This can translate into increadibly intense material and a very fast pace. However, he makes class enjoyable with crazy side notes and a strong sense of humor. His classes are hard, but you wont walk out with regret. He knows his stuff!

It's clear that Kosta knows everything about everything. I learned more about world affairs, Greek culture than I ever cared to know about. This is a good thing. He has the tendency to take over class discussions, yes, but he's truly passionate about what he teaches.

I really loved listening to this professor's thoughts, I wish he would've lectured more. Played devil's advocate in class discussions, which I liked, especially with the opinionated students in class. Hard paper grader -- nitpicky, but it makes you work harder.

The subject matter is very interesting but his lessons are all the same - there's no variety in his teaching. He is smart and funny, but the class often seems monotonous.
