Schell is a phenomenal prof and though he might come off as little unapproachable initially; it's not the case at all. Very accessible and truly wants to help his students understand the material. Don't be nervous to ask him questions!

Great professor and an even better human being. He doesn't play tricks with the students. Pay attention, stay attentive to lectures and showing up are the keys to success. He gives great lectures and is very funny. He's a professor you'll look forward to going to learn from.

DO NOT buy the book. He provides everything you need to know in his powerpoints. I recommend that you print them beforehand so that you don't miss anything important. Pop Quizzes every week so be sure to listen carefully. Tests are moderately easy.

Dr. Schell is a good professor. He is very clear on what he expects from you as a student. Pop quizzes are usually given in the middle of each chapter so at least go over your notes before coming to class. All of his powerpoints are online. Three labresearch credits (meetings outside of class time)are required.

Great course! Great instructor, very smart! Course book wasn't required, he just went off powerpoints. I would advice you print out the powerpoints slides and take notes. Many online quizzes/home assignments- keep up on when they're due! 2 online exams (tricky questions), except final was in class. If you put in the effort, moderate to easy A.

He makes the class very interesting. I actually enjoyed the class even though I didn't think I would. His tests arent easy though so study up. I recommend printing out the slides and writing notes about each slide. He does not curve at the end of the semester so what you get is what you get. No attendance. Final not cumulative.

Great teacher. He always made the topic interesting and sometimes added little stories here and there. We had a quiz before class started every 2-3 classes so be sure to review the notes. The tests were fairly easy if you skimmed through the chapters and read your notes.

He's really funny, and his lectures are interesting. All you have to do is take notes off of his slideshows and you'll pass. He does do random quizzes, so you have to review the notes prior to class. Overall, just study a little and go to class.

Psy is my minor so I'm not that good at it but class was easy and was not expecting that!! Has RANDOM quizzes so make sure you come ON TIME EVERYDAY didn't use the book at all. The notes in lecture is all you need for the quizzes and test. There is papers you have to do once a month but he is NOT a hard grader! Test multiple choice. Spring 2012

Took him 2 years back and loved him. Interesting class, and not very difficult exams if you study a bit. He did give pop quizzes though, so you had to be sure to study the previous day's notes before class just in case. But overall, I'd definitely take him again.

Loved this professor! His lectures were interesting and easy to follow along with. We didnt use the book much, but it was very helpful when it came time for the test because he would throw a few textbook questions in there. Really enjoyed his class!

I had this class at 9am. Too early in the day for psychology, in my opinion. The lectures were comprehensive, didn't have to read the text much. You HAVE to review the lectures before the test, otherwise you will not do well. A few assignments throughout the semester, they were all very easy and took no time.

Idk why he's getting bad reviews!!!! Dr. Schell is definitely one of my favorite professors. The class itself was an easy A and Dr. Schell tells great stories. He knows his stuff and he teaches it well. He keeps the class interesting with personal stories and a joke or two. Definitely recommend!!! He's the reason my minor is psychology
