Beyond rude professor. She talks to students in a condescending and snide manner. Dumps homework and quizzes weekly. Forces you to work in groups if you want more points. Her quizzes are vague, making it hard to answer correctly. Has a plethora of different papers you have to read outside of the syllabus. Hours of reading in this class. Avoid her.

While the course has options to do individual work, you get more points if done with your group. Hanson is nice, but she makes everything more difficult than it needs to be. The grading is obscure and she is highly unorganized. It is nearly impossible to obtain an A in her course, so be aware of that if youre looking for an easy A.

Her grading is really weird and everything hinges on the final so that's stressful. The paper was the biggest beast I've ever produced so that's stressful too, but I learned a lot and I would take another class with her.

Dr. Hansen is a genuinely nice person. This semester, her final was optional for those who do not want an A. However, an A is barely attainable. She required a 92%+ on the final for an A in the class and her tests are REALLY hard. She is disorganized and tends to complicate things, but not a BAD professor. Good luck!

If you're looking for an easy "A" walk away. She's nice but hard to follow. She hates to simplify and admits that herself. Tests are difficult! There is a lot of work to do and what she wants is not clear. If you like information provided in a straight forward, logical and organized manner this class is NOT for you.

I have taken two classes from Dr. Hanson, she can be disorganized, but she is passionate about the material, which makes lectures interesting. Lots of group work, and chances for extra credit. There is a lot of material in this course, but it is a 300-level course. Be ready to work.

Took Western Religion. Material seemed pretty dry. Pretty easy course. The hardest part is the tests. There is a ton of extra credit given. Gives points for showing up and contributing to discussion.

Worst teacher ever. Takes forever to grade things and is not clear on what she wants. She is very unprofessional. She didn't post a study guid to a test until 10:30 the night before. She also told us to not ask her for help on a term paper because she was busy with other things. Do not take this class unless you already know about western religion.

I felt this class was in the middle between challenging and easy. You design a point plan and only do as much stuff as you want your grade to reflect. Tons of extra points given. The hardest thing is the term project. Tests can be tricky. This class has a weird format.

Her organizational skills need serious maintenance. Her class structure is all over the place, thousands of different assignments, she never updates her syllabuses but expects students to somehow already know what she has changed about them. Always too much words but little help. Needs to be more precise and rational. Class is boring as hell.

shes a great person, nice personality, but this class is extremely hard for what it is. her tests are THE WORST, basically the hardest test i have ever had in my 4 year college experience. the multiple choice questions have 8 to 9 choices which confuses everything, and there are much more confusing stuff on the test.

Wonderful person. The unique grading system is probably not for everyone. You actually have to earn your grade, so don?t take the class if you want an easy course. Overall, great class. I learned a great deal.

Great professor. Extremely helpful. Her grading system is unique. Basically you pick the assignments you want to do to get the point you want out of 1000. Lots of options. She's very helpful which makes up for any grading confusion. One of the few on this campus who takes the effort to learn names and know students!

Always ready to help if needed. grades papers and tests relatively quick. overall, a great class but with great knowledge comes great work. in other wrods, you learn a lot but you have to work a lot to achieve that knowledge.

she was an awful professor. with regard to eastern philosophy and religion it often felt as if she knew very little on the subject. Notes were disorganized and more often missing completely. She says that assingments are optional but that gives her the abilitly to assign "optional" meetings and work after class which you must go to to pass.

She's a very good teacher. The notes she writes on the board are very unorganized though. She says assignments are optional, even though you have to do most of them to get a good grade. She really knows what she's talking about so if you have trouble understanding something, let her know and she can clarify. She also responds to e-mails quickly.
