Dr. Fink made the difficult concepts (graduate level material) in Mathematical Finance as easy as pie! Shes an excellent professor and very sweet. Class consists of a midterm, project, and a final. Shes the only choice you have for FIN395, but thats a good thing. If you go over your notes and understand the concepts discussed, you will do well.

378 with Professor Fink was my favorite course this past semester. The material is interesting(to me at least), and the questions on exams come straight from power-points and homework slides. The exams are worth 80% of your final grade, so you definitely can't let one get the best of you. Just do the homework and show up to class for at least a B.

K Fink is sweet, but a terrible lecturer. She's quiet and simply read off the powerpoints. Tests consist of multiple choice, true false and a few fill in the blank and then math problems that are weighted way higher than the conceptual stuff. This is the only COB class i've ever worried about passing. DON'T TAKE THIS as a FIN elective.

She is a nice professor and helpful during office hours. However, this class is painful to sit through. She could do a much better job of engaging the class during lectures. It doesn't really help that the course material is so dry. Exams are difficult.

Professor Fink is so kind. Her class is straightforward, and each exam is weighted heavily. You do need to teach yourself how to do the math in this class, but K-Fink can easily explain any problem. Overall, it's good to learn what is taught in this course.

Class is 3 tests. Make sure to go to class and do the assignments and homework. If you understand that, you'll be prepared for the tests. Lectures can be long, but she cares about the subject. A decent amount of material repeated from past finance classes.

Dr. Fink is a great professor - she's very clear in explaining things, and she's really nice and helpful. However, I absolutely HATE this class! I cannot stand it! It might actually be the most boring class I have ever had to sit through. I'm not sure that's Dr. Fink's fault...I think it might just be the horrendously mind-numbing material.

My only complaint is that sometimes she is deliberate enough in her explanations that the course feels slow. But she does it for the sake of making sure the material is understood. She makes what is known to be a very challenging course much more accessible.

She is really nice and helpful. Her tests are not hard but don't blow this class off because of 300. Her grading is very forgiving, you can bomb a test and it wouldn't be counted.

When I decided to take FIN380 I thought it was going to be extremely difficult. Then I realized that Dr. Kristen Fink is a spectacular professor even at 8am. She is a little dry this early but you learn a lot. She and her husband are the only 2 that teach this class but hope for her. Fink is AWESOME!

This class is very dull and it is not difficult. A lot of people don't show up to class. Its like an intro stats class. Tests are nothing out of the blue. Fink always willing to help and she is a very nice lady.

Comment:
She tells you exactly what you need to know for tests. You use the book maybe once, so try to find it online, or just borrow it from someone. Excel projects are easy, tests are (relatively) easy, and she gives you formula sheets. Highly recommended!
