Expect a lot of work. It sounds bad, but I have grown so much from taking her class. Working on projects outside of class required missing sleep, but it was worth it. You will be pushed as an artist. Those short deadlines will creep up on you. Rothrock is genuinely really nice and has pretty funny stories. Ask her what she thinks about everything.

She was a great 2D teacher. She usually gives a new project every week, and they are usually very fun to do. She is open to new ideas, so don't worry about having to stick to the rubric. About 5 quizzes, they are usually pretty easy. She provides the textbook pages you need which is really helpful! Definitely take her for 2D, you wont regret it.

2D is very easy as long as you do the projects. You're generally given a week's time span. She doesn't use the books in class. The quiz material wasn't talked about in class either. There are 3 quizzes. You study for the quizzes on your own but that might change. Overall the projects matter the most. Great professor and she's very much an art mom!

This is an art studio for 2D Design. She's a nice professor, very cool, and helpful. She's willing to help you with ideas. Attendance is required and she's a stickler for it, if you miss too many classes your grade suffers.

I had her for 2D Design, Figure Drawing, and Concepts. She's extremely helpful and is the ideal instructor for those just starting out in the Art major in basic foundations courses. (Her expertise, though, lies in bookmaking.) She's super-nice and takes great concern in students' well-being. Would definitely take again!

Absolutely loved this class. She makes the class interesting and loves what she is teaching. Always made time to meet with me and help me. If you do what she asks and put just a little effort into your sketchbook you should have no problem getting an A.!

Tests are impossible to get an A on. Gives 3 extra credit points 4 museum visit. Very nice & funny lady. Endless hours doing work for this class while my theater/music LBST friends did squat! Can't draw so she failed my sketchbook even though I sent several days doing it. I just BARELY ended up with an A thanks to a glitch on an exam. Book required

She is a really nice woman and her teaching is very good but the class overall was hard. The tests have the most random questions on them and they destroyed my grade. I would recommend taking a different lbst even though she is a really good teacher the class in hard and pointless.

AMAZING teacher. Its your normal boring lecture class and she knows this but art is her passion and she just gets you through it. Take this class! you have to have it for gen ed and shes amazing!

She's funny, energetic, and has a great personality. She makes it very clear what to know for the tests and uses powerpoints and videos. I would definitely recommend her and take her again. Attendance not technically mandatory but she does give pop quizzes to encourage attendance.

concept studio, she's a great teacher! Very cool, always goes to field trips to museums! You have to write a blog on every class, must do readings, and projects out of class.. 10% is participation grades, so when there's critique! SPEAK! TO RECEIVE THAT 10% if not, the highest you'll get is a 90!!! but overall amazing teacher!

Most boring class I have ever taken. You almost have to go since she gives surprise quizes that if you get 0's it basically ruins your grade. Unless you study hardcore for the exams, there is not a chance you will get an A. She tries to make the class fun.

I have no interest in art whatsoever, but this instructor made it a little bit more interesting. Tests are non-cumulative, including the final. Use the resources with the MyArtsLab. Some questions are identical. Need a textbook. Do the extra credit. Must attend class for random pop quizzes, but she does drop the lowest quiz and test grade.

She's super nice, and very clear on everything. She actually made Visual Arts kind of interesting, sometimes. I really wish I would have had her for a studio class, everyone seems to love it. So, yes, she was a good LBST teacher, because she knows her stuff, but I'd take her for studio, that's my suggestion. She's pretty awesome. And super nice.

I had her for 2D Design and she is the coolest teacher i have ever had in college PERIOD. She easy as long as to do your work and take advantage of the time you have in class. She loves to see people thinking out side the box in fact its part of the grading scale. IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO TAKE HER TAKE HER...BEST TEACHER EVER PROMISE!
