You need the book! Everything you do is from the book. This class is easy but requires answering 10 questions from each chapter from the book every other week, and the week that you don't have questions to answer you have to post, and respond to people's posts. You don't need the online music registration, you can find all the songs on youtube.

Awesome teacher. I took this class during winter intercession online and it was perfect for an easy elective in the short semester. I had fun and enjoyed the class. She always gave really positive, helpful feedback. Highly recommend

Tina is my favorite teacher I've had so far. She listens to your questions and if you don't understand she'll say it differently until you get it. If you're having a hard time she makes sure that you get it at least a little. She's so funny and nice. I love her!

Take this class with another teacher, she gives out packets every other week which amounted to more homework than all my other classes combined. Don't be late or miss class because she will withdraw you. If you aren't on her good side you will not enjoy this class at all. Talks about herself frequently.

Interestingly enough, she has found a way to make Rock History difficult. She often goes off talking about her musical acheivements which I care little about; and instead of teaching, makes the student do all the work with minimal grading required on her part. Get a different teacher, she's a waste of time.

I took the online MHL 145 class with her. She was hardly ever responsive to mine or my classmates' emails. The assignments were useful though and the journals were fun. My only problem was that she didn't respond to the students' needs most times.

Although her notariaty for overlooking missed assignments and attendance may come off as disorganization or neglect on her part, I've gathered that she feels the knowledge you take from her class can't be measured by grades. You either gain something from her class or you don't but it's up to you. I've learned more valuable aspects of the music industry in 10 minutes of her time than I have from anywhere else. I advise if you take her class, make a point to show up and soak up as much as you can.
