I took an online class of hers and of the papers we wrote the highest grade I got was a 63% no matter how hard I worked on it. The class average for those papers were all below failing. She expects more than she puts in the outline, doesn't post rubrics, and doesn't clarify her feedback when asked about the received grade. Do not take her classes

Comment:

Dr. Kelly is teaching a difficult class. You write one huge paper throughout the semester, you just write small parts at a time. Each paper you right, you turn it in and she grades you, and you can rewrite as many times as you need to get the grade you want! Come to class and pay attention and find a good group to work with and you will be fine.

She is a super friendly lady. However, her lectures are very long and the easiness of them isn't slightly reflective of the difficulty of her in-class tests. You will lose attendance points if you do not show up for class. Take good notes because they are not posted on WO! Also, participate and ask questions because it will help your final grade

Comment:

The point of this class is to conduct an experiment and write a psychological paper on it, and I agree she helped with that, however asking questions prior to getting feedback got you nowhere. I witnessed her publicly make a student feel stupid because he asked a question about her feedback. Overall she's a 'nice' person, but not a nice teacher.

Dr. Kelly is a really nice and friendly lady. I was not a fan of the class she was teaching. I felt the instructions she gave were unclear a lot and I did not know what was expected of me until after I got the grade back. Nonetheless she is always there to help. I'm taking her again next semester.

ONLINE COURSE. Hardest grader I have ever come across. You will write a 2-3 page paper on every chapter you read. I followed the feedback she provided every time, but I continually got declining grades. Steer clear of this professor.

Really one of the worst teachers I had at WIU. She was rude and it seemed as if you were bothering her if you had a question outside the classroom. Her grading made no sense. Would never recommend her to anyone else.

ONLINE CLASS. Chapters take hours to read, be prepared to read two every other week. Take a super hard quiz every other week, and write a 2-3 page paper every other week. Oh and write 12 2-3 page papers by the end of the year. No final but at this point who cares. Got random grades for papers and no matter how hard I tried I never go above a 7/10

A girlfriend and I took and online social psychology class together. Quizzes and thought papers every week. We worked together and the grades sent back to us were completely unpredictable and random. Quizzes were unimportant information and just ruined our grades.....

Interesting class and she always has fun examples. Nice teacher, cares about students. 7 short papers not too bad and she drops the lowest score. Tests are MC, fair but you have to read & go to class. Even if you bomb on one thing you can still do ok. I enjoyed the class.

I've had her for a couple of classes and like her a lot. Explains things really good in class with lots of examples. Exams are not too hard if you go to class but you also have to read the book. Research project was more interesting than I expected. Lots of ways to get points and she gives extra credit. Plus she's very nice. I recommend her.

She was horrible. Was rude and unhelpful to anyone in my class. Would grade me one way and not give me a reason why I lost points. She is a selfish teacher and did nothing for me or anyone else in that class. She got this class "taken away" from her finally.

She is the nicest woman I have ever met! Keeps things simple and straightforward. 10 online quizzes, 3 big exams with some FIB and short essay. Experiment write up divided into sections and she lets you revise them as many times as you like in a certain timeframe for full points! Attendance grade is given out of twenty points for whole semester.

I liked the class, only class I WANTED to go to this semester. Exams are not so easy that you can just come to class, you have to read and study too. 1 page paper for every chapter but they are easy and make you think. You get to pick the project you want to do for the class, it takes some time but is not too hard. Dr. K is the best!
