Dr. Field is the chair of the Chemistry department and clearly deserves it. Quite possibly the best professor I have ever had, the students and their success in his classes are always his primary concern. Dr. Field lives and breathes chemistry and I highly recommend him as a current major in the department.

Dr. Field is a genuinely good professor. I showed up on multiple occasions to his office with questions when it was not even his designated office hours. Not once did he turn me away. He went out of his way to sit down and make sure I understood everything if I ever needed clarification. I would recommend him again and again.

He's a really great professor! He kind of gives off that sweet grandpa vibe in that he really wants his students to understand the material and do well in his class. His office hours are early, but he's really helpful and if you show him you do the work he'll help you a lot more. He explains things really well but make sure you take a lot of notes

This class really has the potential to be boring if you have ANY background in chemistry, but Prof. Field has a way of making the class interesting with anecdotes. If you don't have a background in chemistry, then his anecdotes will help your understanding immensely.

I disagree with the last comment. I e-mailed him and went to his office all the time with questions and he was always willing to answer them. He really cares about his students and he wants them to succeed. His in class explanations are very clear. He is a great professor I recommend him to anybody taking a chemistry class at Bradley.

This profesor is great! He really knows his stuff. He is always very helpful when you go to see him during office hours. He sits down with you and works out problems with you. His quiz questions usually combine concepts so you have to know how to do the problems. An easy class if ur willing to put time in. I definitely recommend him!

A fantastic professor! I would recommend him to everyone. He is very intellectual and knows his stuff about chemistry. He is just the best of the best when it comes to instructors. I didn't use the test book too much, testing mainly comes from your notes. Final is cumulative over 2 semesters (250&351) - lenient; grading scale curved. Take him! :)
