He often don't know the material well enough, even if it's in his research area. He isn't good at thinking on his feet which means bad at answering questions or understanding alternative solutions. There is a gap between his lectures and assignments/tests so students aren't prepared for them. You could get points off for things he's never taught.

Lawrence at it's worst. He is a product of the college and was hire as professor after many years in industry. Has no idea or desire to be a good teacher. Reads out power point slides for his lectures, curiously doesn't even't use the full screen feature. Does not care to help students with anything. Does not seem very interested in the job at all.

Nice guy, but absurdly picky. Deciphering how he wanted the assignments handed in was more difficult than most of the programming. (points off for the wrong kind of staple?...). Engages in death by powerpoint on a regular basis which makes his lectures unbearable. He essentially reads the slides out loud for the whole class. Avoid if possible.

Long, boring lectures. Incredibly difficult assignments, with minimal help available. Seems too busy with other things to help, and didn't know who I was after 10 weeks. Requires participation if you are clueless, and thinks people don't use enough effort when they spend hours working on things.

his lectures could put an insomniac to sleep sometimes, but the content is always well-organized and clear. he just overexplains concepts. with labs, he leaves you guessing by giving assignments on content which hasn't been covered in class. extremely nit picky & always has many ppl fail or wp.
