Comment:
Kurt is a very good professor. He is helpful, and has LOTS of knowledge. He lectures a lot and expects you to listen, and be present in class. You need to work hard and DO the work. You can't just skate by in his classes. He encourages questions and discussions and has a lot of good input. He can be a bit boring and monotone though.

Kurt is like the stereotypical artist. He has the long hair, glasses, basic wardrobe, & slow speech as if he doesn't care. But, he really is like an evil genius. He really knows his stuff and wants his students to be very knowledgeable & take initiative to learn. Nt strict, very open, laid back &wise. Need help, ask, he won't just offer it to you.

Incredible technical knowledge when it comes to 3d. Not as much in other areas, but makes up for it by providing a vast pool of concepts to draw from. He may not tell you how to implement them, but if he did he might as well hand you the A while he's at it. Stop complaining about the energy level, stay awake, and you will learn some great stuff.

A lack of enthusiasm combined with a lack of clarity is what comes to mind when I think of Kurt. He doesn't seem to really teach, more he expounds on vague concepts, and talks a lot about the topics without going into explaining how to actually implement them. His speeches are long-winded and repetetive. At least he's nice.

Kurt was a great teacher he prepares you for the real world. I worked my ass off to get an A from him. That was great thing about Kurt you had to earn your grades, it really paid off for me. I got a job right of school at a game company. I'm now working on my second animated feature film at Sony Imageworks. Enough said Kurt gets the job done.

I really enjoyed Kurt, heard his package is huge. I'm not time arts but I still like the class although there were weak concepts not due to Kurt. At first it was hard to read him but just talk to other time arts majors and they'll tell you what he means.

He's a pretty easy going guy, pretty open when it comes to assignments. He leaves a lot up to the student which gives them more responsiblity, I think preparing them for the real world. Some of his speeches are long winded but his overuse of cliches makes them pretty amusing to listen to.

Students need to be creative, but so do teachers. "Make an animation about anything, do whatever and make it, lets say a minute." Disinterest makes a poor teacher and Kurt is exactly that. Also, does this man have any professional experience? Doubtful.

Kurt rules... Although he might seem like he is always tired, he really knows his stuff. The more you show interest in learning things, the more helpful he is. Great at showing you how to do things that you ask for, but also he gets you thinking in different ways. he's a good man,
