I took Kurt's classes in undergrad, I am currently finishing grad school and he still lets me come in and show him what I have been working on. He's become a true friend over the years and if I can say anything at all, I pity anyone who hasn't met this truly kind and generous soul. He is the kind of instructor who goes above and beyond!

I took classes with Kurt 10 years ago. I couldn't afford the art supplies and always pretended that I "forgot" to buy them. I think he saw right through me, but he always went in the back and found me something that I could use. I will never forget his generosity. He was the best teacher I've ever had. I wish I room to write more.

Anyone who doesn't take full advantage of the opportunity to get to know Kurt ought to be forced to sit through an entire year of Art History lectures. If you sign up for Drawing, don't expect drawing. You'll learn about every type of medium out there. Don't care for some? Cool. Do what u enjoy. Kurt will encourage you, help you, & appreciate you.

best teacher @ NU. Wish there were more like him. Very helpful, class is always enjoyable, offers a variety of mediums to work (you're not limited). sky's the limit on ideas. free to do what you wish (it's nice to have/find this in a class/teacher). I will be taking more classes with him. You can't go wrong w/ Kurt.
